Questions & Answers

Shopper : Can it be removed without damaging the wall?CAROL B : Hi, I use this to mount art prints onto mat board, I don't think its meant to be used like double stick tape.MARIA P : I've only used this to mount 2 sheets of paper together. After 30 seconds, the adhesive sets, so the paper would tear. If you have primed walls with good paint, it should come off, but if the paint is old and prone to chipping, I wouldn't risk it.BULLHAVEN L : Short answer: depends on the wall. I've only used this stuff for making custom hardcover books, that I want to be permanently stuck together; I've never used it to attach something to a wall...and wouldn't recommend it for this. My guess is that how likely you could remove it without damaging a wall would depend a lot on the wall surface: getting it off finished wood or paneling would be easier than a wall with wallpaper or painted drywall, which could be a disaster. Benzene (rubber cement thinner) carefully applied might be helpful, but I'd test it on a small area first.TERESA H : I am sorry I don't know. I used it on vinyl and it did come off of that.MICKEY M : I would not use it to mount directly to a wall. I Mount to 'cardboard' and hang that on the wall. I think it is meant to be permanent.MARIE A C : I use it to mount photographs, I don't think it's intended to use on a wall. I think it's meant to be permanent.
Wendy G : can you tell me the net weight of this item?CAROL B : Hi Wendy, I don't know the net wt, that would be something Adorama should have answered. I love the product though and use it exclusively to mount prints that I sell.Wendy G : Thank you all for your information.MICKEY M : I don't have a scale that is very accurate for such small items but my bathroom scale says ~1 lb.PAMELA V : I don't know the specific weight but it is thinner than I expected. I purchased this for students to use so I anticipate it will not last as long as I was originally planning.FELIX M : Great product! Highly recommended
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?GARY G : recommended to me

Takes some getting used to.

I've use this 3M adhesive system for several years and use it to mount up 16x20 prints on mat and foam board in preparation for framing. It is sticky (that's good) and if not careful will get on hands and work surfaces. But with care and experience is can be fast and effective. Just make sure when moving the print around face down to have it on a piece of the cover sheet! Wish it were not so expensive. Not clear that it is neutral pH!!

Must have for paper mounting and comping

I use this product all the time for mounting paper and making comps of brochures and other 2-sided printed pieces.

Awesome prdocut for different materials

Best product for the job. Dont turn to glues. This gives a better handle when working with flat surfaces. Very Strong too!

Good for photographs

This is excellent material for photographs. When used on mount boards, it works much better than spray adhesives. Be carful not to get this material on the front of the photographs. They say this is reposition-able, but don't believe it! The only negative thing about this product, it the price. At Adorama, the price is about as good as it gets.

Cold Mount adhesive sticky subject

Adhesive is easy to work with using just the plastic squeegy, but much better bond with a cold mount roller machine. It is important to eliminate any adhesive "pills" from the edges which might transfer to the front of the print or create a bump under the surface.

A dry, synthetic, easy-to-use, pressure sensitive adhesive. Allows repositioning of artwork until bond is made permanent. Just unroll PMA adhesive side up, position artwork, and cut the PMA flush or leave a narrow border for trimming. Place the artwork face up on the release paper, protect with slip sheet and rub with a squeegee or roller to transfer adhesive to back of the artwork. Remove the liner and position the adhesive coated artwork on the mounting surface. Cover with a slip sheet and rub with squeegee or use the C-35 PMA applicator for a permanent bond.
