I like this tripod and used it on trips everywhere, the last one to Scotland. Work great until it didn't! Setting it up to do a long time exposure and seeing two of the leg clamps broken! Thank god for gaffer tape. So now what? Buy a new one and save this one for parts?get a better one.$$$

The tripod is pretty sturdy on flat ground. The travel bag is great. The way it folds together to a small diameter is amazing. It is not quite lite, but that is okay for me. It is pretty well made EXCEPT FOR THE LEG CLIPS. THEY ARE 1000% HORRIBLY THIN EASILY BROKEN PLASTIC. I cannot believe they skimped on this Something that will make the tripod unusable. The clips holding the feet on are not much better. If not for the clips being so cheap, it would be an AMAZING tripod.

I bought this tripod because of its light weight and compact design that allows me to carry it in my backpack, unlike my heavy Manfrotto. I have carried it on some brief outings for landscape shoots and it has worked well. The camera attachment for this tripod feels a bit flimsy but it does seem to do the job with my Canon R6. It even seems to hold steady with my Sigma 150-500mm lens attached. The ballhead actually feels a bit more solid, less prone to slippage than the ballhead on my Manfrotto. While it has spirit level bubbles built into the billhead, the camera covers them, rendering the horizontal spirit level unusable when the camera is attached. At most tripod heights, the spirit level for vertical is also hidden unless you bend down to view it. I still need to use either the built in electronic level or a spirit level that attaches to the hot shoe. The center column is removable, allowing the tripod to become a very low platform. Once you do that, though, there's no way to stabilize the camera. I read that you can hang the camera upside down and then flip the image in post processing. That seems a rather clumsy way to handle this and it reduces the functionality of the camera for low level images (e.g. florals). This likely means that I will continue to haul my Manfrotto tripod around when I plan to do floral images in gardens, swapping the attachments...You can see my 3 star reasons.

Pros: very sturdy, compact, and great for travel Cons: one of the plastic clamps broke on my first use. Sent in for warranty, per customer service's instruction, and now notified that the item is on backorder.

This is the most stable tripod I ever had! I am 5' and this is taller than me by couple of inches. It is a little bit heavy but I am fine with it. I would like to thank Emma Q. for being such a patient and a great customer service.

Very solid and compact tripod - don't bother ordering the ball head though; it couldn't support my Canon 6D ii with 16-35 f4

Loving my new tripod. It arrived in 2 pieces. The tripod came first and the ball head mount came as a second delivery. It's portable, has a great carry case and the ball head is very functional and has the added benefit of bubble levels built in. My son has hinted that he wants to swipe it because he likes it so much. So might be buying another for him as a birthday gift. If you are looking for a good functional tripod at a reasonable cost that is also pretty light weight d I would recommend it.

I own this tripod and I like this tripod, but the 180 degree leg movement spec is way off. They go from straight down to almost 90 degrees out to the side (probably 85 degrees). Being metal, it's not ultralight like carbon, but I'll take the added stability and price savings. I take good care of my gear and don't see why this shouldn't provide many years of use.

For the Wander Lust in you.
The Wander from 3POD may be the most travel-friendly aluminum camera support ever created.

And after the capture of passion, it all comes together in a tuck no larger than a 1-liter water bottle. What else could top off such a beauty with a wink and nod for you to join the journey Smart and sure, ever ready for action, the Wander lusts for the chance to capture the image of your dreams. Take a break before you begin the return to reality.
Think Negative!
But the real stroke of genius is how three legs nestle so closely that no space is lost when closed. The center column is swallowed by the embrace. Even the flexible feet cluster to form a unified stance. And at no loss to this amazing travel tripod's stability, grace, and function. It is ready for the peaks.
Be Positive!
The telescopic legs cluster close-fitting about the center column for an amazingly compact traveling height of less than 20", and with the entire unit weighing in at an ultralight 4lbs, so there's nothing to stop you from carrying it with you anywhere you go. Rugged yet lightweight aluminum construction and anodized fashionable red accents have a stunning appearance and a superior wear-resistant finish. The center column can be extended to give the system a total height of 70" without sacrificing stability. A convenient retractable weight hook provides an additional counterbalance to hang accessories.
Keep a Leg Up on Life!
Each 4-sectioned telescoping leg features three-position auto-settings and can lock in place individually at preset angles for perfect stance on uneven terrain. The positive clamp flip locks are fortified with a cutting-edge, wear-resistant internal structure. The locks are immune to dust, moisture, changes in temperature, and gradual loosening over time that can occur in inferior locking mechanisms. And the feet... self-leveling flexible feet to meet surfaces and stand firm.
But, Don't peek!
Yes, contenders out there seem worthy of your hard-earned buck. Take a peek at this one. You will not be disappointed. In fact, your may even write a nice review!
