The innovative design of this tripod includes a removable center column that allows for extreme low angle performance without losing the head placement. Say goodbye to leg angle struggles with the auto-stop leg levers that automatically snap into the next angle position, allowing you to quickly set the leg splay to your specific preference. The Everest T3 also features a unique leg length and extension mechanism. Simply twist the leg lock clockwise to loosen the grip, slide the leg to your desired extension, and lock it in place by twisting the leg lock firmly counterclockwise. The center column is easily adjustable. Turn the Center Column Locking Knob counterclockwise to unlock the column, adjust it to your preferred height, and lock it with a clockwise turn on the Locking Knob. For low angle shots, the center column can be removed entirely, giving you freedom from leg angle limitation. The tripod also includes a center column reversal feature and accessory tap holes for attaching additional items. The 3/8" and 1/4" screw holes on the top of the tripod platform collar make it easy to customize your setup. I got the tripod a few weeks ago and spent a long day using it on the beach. It works very well so far and no problems at all. I did rinse the sand away before collapsing the legs and again at home to avoid salt corrosion. 
The tripod feels sturdy and works great. No complaints.
