Right out of the box the leg levers were extremely stiff ; I figured they would loosen up with time. But, within 2-3 hours of use two sections would no longer hold tight, the legs collapse. Why use carbon fiber legs with terribly defective clamps (I have used aluminum-plastic tripods with better service)? Also, the head has design flaws and does not always pan smoothly. Finally, even the storage bag is oversized, like 6" too long (leftovers from some other model?). More than disappointing, Returned.

Those legs are folding in with very little pressure. The only good thing about this tripod is the weight. It is very light and that was the main reason I bought it. I'm using it with a very light camera- sony a 6500, but even with this camera, those legs are folding inside. I tried to make the screws tighter and didn't help at all.

This carbon fiber tripod is about one pound lighter than the aluminum tripod. It makes a big difference if you have to carry long distance or long hours. The 4-section adjustable leg version makes it shorter than the 3-section leg tripod so it takes a little bit less space for storage concerns. The only cons I can think of now Is that it is not 100% stable when fully extended to the maximum height. It might be a problem if you are shooting at the windy location or triggering the shutter manually at slow shutter speed.Overall, the 3Pod manufactures nice quality tripods. I own both Carbon fiber and the aluminum ones and no complaints.

This is the 1st tripod I have ever purchased. I have USED many, to see how they operate, and figure out what kind of pro/con one could find while using a tripod. Now that I know those things I can finally search For one the meets my criteria. It has to be easy to tote around, and it has just work. I love the one I chose , the 3pod orbit with carbon fiber legs and the video head. The set up is quick, and easy. Very intuitive. The head I opted for is very nice, is smooth, and stable. The package as a whole is aesthetically pleasing as well. The only draw back is that the bag/carrying case that comes with the tripod is shaped to hold just the basic tripod, and doesn't allow for me to keep the video head on it while packed away. I wish it did, as this is a bit of an inconvenience, otherwise just shoot and have fun.

The fluid motion is excellent, the balancing is effortless even with a large lens, I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone.

A professional-grade tool for videographers and photographers, the Orbit 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod, bundled with the Q3 Fluid Video Head, offers unparalleled stability and versatility. Designed to support a range of cinematography setups, including cinema camcorders, video rigs, DSLRs, and ILCs, the Q3 Fluid Video Head can handle a maximum load of 15 lb. It boasts separate pan and tilt fluid friction controls, a bubble level on the base for flawless pans, and a sliding quick-release plate with a safety lock for optimal rig balance.
The Q3 Fluid Video Head also features an angle-adjustable ambidextrous handle with a comfortable padded grip for stable control. Its separate tilt friction and lock controls allow the head to revert to the exact same tilt tension after unlocking, making it an ideal choice for use on monopods or tripods.
The Orbit 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod, part of the 3POD Orbit Tripod System, is a full-service photo and video tripod. It offers fully adjustable legs and shaft, and the unique Orbit Overhead Shot System. This innovative system allows the shaft to rotate outwards from the legs, facilitating low angle, overhead, and other specialty shots.
Crafted from top-quality materials, the tripod strikes a perfect balance between stability and portability. The carbon fiber construction is chosen by photographers for its lightweight durability and warm stability, making it ideal for everyday use and transport.
The tripod also features leg spreaders with a leg angle lock for each leg, allowing independent spread to 85deg., 60deg., and 35deg. angles for maximum stability on uneven terrain. A bubble level on the top plate assists in leveling the tripod.
For indoor use, the tripod's foot spikes can be covered by rubber feet for better grip on smooth flooring. For outdoor use or on rocky ground, the rubber feet can be retracted to expose the spikes for better grip on soft surfaces.
One of the tripod legs features a soft grip surface for comfortable handling in cold weather. The tripod also includes flip locks for easy opening and closing, and a reversible 3/8" and 1/4"-20 screw mount for versatility.
The Orbit 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod with Q3 Fluid Video Head is an excellent choice for photography and video professionals, offering all the features demanded by imaging professionals.
