Pistol grip is somewhat heavy to carry around. Might throw off balance on monopod. Wish legs a little longer so monopod stands stronger on the ground.

Very heavy but does not provide expected stability. Also much larger than my travel tripod. Pistol grip so stiff I could not even squeeze. Returned both parts.

Must be cheap metal, the handle broke off the base on my camera. I plan to return the entire thing. I guess you get what you pay for. I haven’t even used it yet. Afraid something else will break off.

Heavy duty pistol grip ballhead with very positive locking. Had an issue with one of the feet not locking but once I worked the mechanism a couple of times and put a drop of WD40 on it....no problems. I use it with Canon 400mm and 300mm primes and it's a very useful accessory.

The fold out legs are a bit weak. had to return the unit because the fold out leg would not lock into place. This unit locks but , a slight bit of pressure and the leg gives way. I love the Pistol Grip. an bit heavy, but it works excellently.

I HAD BOUGHT THE MONO WITH PISTOL HEAD ONLY TO REALIZE THE HEAD WAS TO HEAVY. I RETURNED THE HEAD FOR ANOTHER STYLE AND HAVE ONLY USED THIS SET UP A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT FEEL IT WILL WORK OUT WELL. I WANTED THE ABILITY TO HAVE BOTH TRIPOD AND MONO IN ONE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT AND LIMIT THE WEIGHT FACTOR. THIS UNIT WORKS NICELY. I USE THIS WITH MY P900 AND IT WILL SUPPORT CAMERA WITH LEGS EXTENDED WITHOUT FEAR OF FALLING OVER.

Having shaky hands, it has been impossible to use my monopod, even leaning on something. So I bought the 3Pod Orbit 4 section carbon fiber monopod. The weather has been bad since I received it, but have played with it indoors. Having the three feet on the bottom to use when needed, which adds stability, I can now take sharp pictures without having to mess with a tripod when I go for walks. I am thrilled with it. In addition, I bought the pistol grip to go with it. It makes adjusting the camera position extremely easy.

I bought this monopod to hold my 150-600mm lens. This monopod is build very sturdy, I like the idea of feet for the monopod and the movement of the center pole to access different angles. You only need a smaller space for setup then a tripod. Less chance of someone bumping into the legs.

like this monopod deal with the pistol grip balhead. Head is a little too heavy to use with the monopod unless one holds onto it too take pictures. the pistol grip balhead will be used on a regular tripod for it's quick adjustment features .overall good price deal

This item is of very sturdy construction and will support a heavy camera with long lens. As with any monopod with support feet, it should not be left standing on it's own - a hand on the camera at all times is necessary. The pistol grip ballhead is a bit on the heavy side, but operates in a smooth fashion. It arrives configured in a 90 degree right-hand mode, but it can be easily changed to a joystick configuration which is more comfortable, and can be used with either hand. With the ballhead in joystick mode, it easily fits in the included carry case for the monopod. All in all a great product.

I own both an Aluminum Bogen Monopod & Tripod ... and they're great. But I have several Nikon Cameras (D500, D610, D800, D3S, D200) with Grips and wanted another monopod with base. I saw a pkg deal on Adorama and decided to take a chance. Right out of the box, I attached a D610+Grip with a 70-200 2.8 lens. This is no lightweight combo ... so I attached the grip's quick-disconnect plate to the collar on the lens. I wouldn't chance walking away from it, but it held just fine for snapping steady pics !! No slipping, nothing unstable ... exactly what I was hoping for. And if you unscrew the grip from the collapsed monopod, you CAN get both into the zip-up travel bag. It's tight, but it's doable. I wish I would have bought this sooner ... it's a great deal when you compare value/price versus big-name CF monopod/grip combos.

So far so good , like how easily it set up and the carry case it came in. Wish it could have been a little bigger to carry the head in there but very happy with the product
