Gorgeous Fast Durable Printer
Gorgeous fast prints, easily customize each sheet to maximize profit. Example, printing 2 x 5/7 inch prints on one "sheet" will give you a 1 inch by 10 inch strip along the side of the sheet,. Add 10x 1/1inch images to create a movie strip. Sell for a few extra or toss in for free. Otherwise the stip of paper and film is wasted. The printer needs 1 roll of paper and one roll of film that is sold separately. You want to set it up so it uses 1- 8/10 inch sheet for every print. Even if your not using the rest of the sheet and maybe only need 1-5/7 add a second one on just to not waste the film and paper because it will come out blank.

Awesome die-sub printer!
This printer is exactly what I wanted! The printer itself looks exactly like the pictures on Adorama's website. Setup was easy. Installation of the die-sub film and printer paper was very easy! My first prints "WOW"ed everybody. This will make an excellent printer for class reunions, wedding receptions or other events. The color quality is excellent, and the look and feel of the prints rival any print-house standard glossy print. I would highly recommend the DNP 820A printer.

One of the best
One of the best. Using the Spyder monitor and printer calibration software aids in achieving optimal colors. I suggest using 8 x 12 supplies which can be used to print either 8x10 or 8x12. Remember that a 35mm image translates to 8 x 12.

Superb Output
I?m impressed with my DNP DS820A. High quality output directly from Mac Photos app. Output closely matched what I see on my MacBook screen without any test prints. Compact footprint and easy to set up too. This helps heal the lingering disappointment with Olympus and their entirely unnecessary decision to discontinue support and supplies for my P400 which was a quality dye sub also. I still can?t bear to get rid of it as I have some supplies - just not the software upgrades from Olympus to make it work. Another irritating aspect of our throwaway culture.
My needs for quality photo printing are quite intermittent, so an inkjet printer won?t work for me. Long periods between inkjet print jobs means clogged nozzles and dried up expensive ink. A dye sub printer is ideal under those circumstances. Excellent easy to reach tech support from DNP too, when I needed a bit of help to install the printer driver. Here?s hoping they support this printer for years to come! Love it!

It's a pretty goof machine except it make awful noise. Other the noise factor it will print a good quality photo.

MONEY MAKER!!
This printer is AMAZING! Super high quality, super fast, easy set up, no loss of ink, easy cost analysis, this printer is a MONEY MAKER$$. Using this printer with Adobe Lightroom Print section is AWERSOME! You use the same amount of ink/film roll if you print 2-5/7s or 1-8/10. And lets say you place 2x 5/7s images on the print page, you then have 1 inch running down the side of the paper that is unused, so I place 10x 1/1inch photos along the side and print out a "film Strip" for no extra cost. mrauscherphotosgmailcom message me for questions.

Beautiful Color Images, needs custom profile for B&W
With a custom profile I can produce outstanding (near neutral tone) black and white images with the premium paper. Very light tone areas require edits to prevent highlight burnout. The panorama size (8x24, etc.) features require using the DNP hot folder app or Darkroom Core software.

A good replacement for an old Kodak 9810.
Looks good with Windows 10 so far. Remember that it needs different supplies to print 8 x 10 vs. 8 x 12. I am working with the Spyder print calibration system and have yet to tweak the settings to an optimal image but so far, no complaints. The instructions on loading paper & Ink could be better but I did finally figure it out.

Driver issues
Loading the driver on window 10 gave problems,when loaded and try to go to printer preferences the printer locked up and want do anything.You have to cut the labtop off and on to do anything else,but it still want print.

Good printer, bad drivers, poor support
Well, the printer itself is great, at least on Windows 7. For Windows 10, they have a driver issue that causes Windows, Lightroom or any program to freeze when accessing Printer Preferences. After contacting them, they offered me a workaround that did not work and no planned date to fix the issue, leaving me to either deal with the issue, buy Windows 7 for that computer, or return the printer. Sigh.
