I can send email when video detection happens, but the snapshot does not get sent.

The system works properly. Easy to install. Internet connection works well. Good quality video. My only Con: The cameras are difficult to adjust if you are not careful to point them pretty close to where you want before securing the mounting screws. Very little side to side adjustment.

This system was easy to install, however do not use combined cables for long runs, they tend to warn of low power on night vision. When on a full length 160 ft cable they work just fine for long runs. The video is clear in all weather situations, even hard rain and the night vision is incredible for the price. I highly recommend.

I had another brand of cameras on my house and was having some issues with them so my son told me about his cameras that he purchased from your company about how good they are. So I decided to try and give your cameras a chance and I love them and also when you need Technical Support you don't have to wait on the phone for anywhere from 2 to 5 hours to get you problem solved.

So far, so good! The pictures are so much better than the other brand we replaced. I have a few more steps to finish up and hope to be watching remotely as well.

Our recent purchase of the eight camera system was a great investment for our property and our neighborhood. The clarity of the cameras is excellent and the night vision is very impressive! It 's going to take time to learn about all the intricate settings, but in the end it will be worth it.

The system does everything it says it does. It is capable of recording 1920x1080 video from 8 different cameras. Installation is pretty simple and anybody capable of hooking up a VCR can install this system. The system did come with a pretty thick instruction book and there's a pdf copy right on the website. The default settings are only 720p and low bitrate. So once you get everything hooked up, you have to manually set each camera to higher settings if you want. My big gripe is about the software you use to retrieve recordings. When you log into the system from a computer, you must be using Windows or OSX. There is no support for Linux at all. And using OSX, you cannot use Chrome. You have to use Safari. And then, you have to install their plugin into your web browser. I have used dozens of different IP cameras and security camera systems and somehow all the other ones manage to work without requiring some specific web browser and and plugin. Why can't amcrest figure it out? The next big issue is that the recordings are in some weird .dav format. If something does happen and you need to pull a video off the unit or your nas/ftp, you have to use another poorly written piece of software to convert the files to avi. I would suggest that after the system has been running a while, you do a dry run trying to pull a specific piece of footage off. Because in the event that you do need to provide video to the police from this thing, that would not be the time to try and learn. I have made myself a cheatsheet and stashed it with all those necessary (poorly written) programs on a thumb drive. On the plus side, I was able to get the cameras working with a generic webcam app for Android phones and Android TV. So I can at least view the camera feeds without having to rely on their restrictive OS and web browser combination. Would I buy it again? yes. Overall, I think I will probably end up setting up zoneminder and having that take care of the software side. Overall, I'm pleased with the hardware. I don't think you can get another 8 channel camera system with this quality of recording for less money. The software is not something I'll be dealing with on a daily or even weekly basis, so I guess its ok that its terrible. When something does go down and I need to mess with this software, I'll have my cheat sheet and thumb drive to get me through it.

Cameras seem pretty good. Easy setup....but...The hard drive in the DVR has apparently crashed after 2 weeks of use. I have emailed customer support. I will update my review with my customer support experience.

We had thieves break into our vehicle in our yard, it isn't the first time, But it will be the last. I highly recommend this 8 camera system we bought, Easy plug and play operation, once the system was wired outside. It's been up and running for 4 days and i can't explain the level of safety we feel because of the Amcreat System I think you should get one too. I'm not a handyman but we did this system fast and it wasn't that hard to do with simple tools. What are you waiting for?

I had another brand analog camera system installed in a clubhouse to monitor the recent vandalism. Although the cameras deterred many I could not get clear images of the vandals. When I viewed these HD cameras on youtube, I was so impress that I had to get one. Well I installed part of the system in my house and I could read the logo on my shirt in total darkness, NICE! Installation was straight forward. Few comments: (1)the cameras have the power and BNC plugs offset which is good when you only make a 3/4” hole, you can only feed one plug at a time, however, the cables that attach do not have the matching offset. so if you install the cameras and tug on the cable, your power plugs become disconnected. I recommend after connect the power plugs, fold the power cable over towards the camera and tape the end. if you have to pull the wires back out to remove the camera, the wires come out (taped side narrower than the hole) and no struggle with the 2 plugs through the hole. (2) I wish I could have known the maximum fast-forward speed (3) wish the bullet cameras could rotate after installation, the screw on the side of the mounting post only loosens the camera ball joint (4)the fps recording is 30 on some cameras but not all. (5) I like the easy popup keyboard, easy to rename each camera. (6) Love the zoom feature (7) Love the ability to add wireless cameras (8)can’t wait to access it with my phone. Ed
