I bought this because I already own a Benro geared head that stays attached to my tripod, and I wanted to keep the existing plate attached and be able to move my camera between my tripod and overhead rig quickly. This did the trick, and it didn?t break the bank. I am extremely satisfied with this product.

Although this produuct is very nice, it is not suitable for me. It can stand 11lbs, it looks really light and small. When I see the photo of product on Adorama website, it is only one photo exactly as the same product, another phot is not correctly. Please see photos that you posted. The second thing i want to mention that it is not suitable for panorama photography, and becareful with your heavy camera, lense.

Product is great, ball head is even better. I originally didn't like the idea of the single knob to control the head and pan but given how small the entire unit is, it's better that way

The ball-head is well built and functions as expected. I particularly like the levered locking handle for the ball, and most of all the pull-twist design of the plate-locking knob. However, there is one major flaw with the unit in that there is no independent pan adjustment, necessitating the ball head to be unlocked to pan, which defeats the object of panning whilst the ball-head is locked. If this were a function added to the head it would gain 5 stars for it's price-point.

I was looking for a relatively small and light ballhead, with simple controls, to work on a new monopod. I already have 3 massively stable and excellent working Arca ball heads that I use with my various tripods for rock steady and smooth results with different camera and lens combos. This one need only to be smaller and lghter than my Arcas, but still able to hold up to a 5D4 with Canon 100-400 zoom lens. I needed to carry the big monopod with the Benro and camera/lens combo attached. Keeping the ballhead inexpensive, low, light, smooth and secure were the requirements. In this diificult use case, the Benro came through very well. It was everything I required, except for the smoothness, for which I deducted one possible star, but I coudn,t really ask for anymore at this price point. It worked well for me.

I really like this bullhead which I will be using on a monopod. Now I can easily switch between my camcorder,DSLR and binoculars using the ARCA plates. It seems to be well made, not too bulky and the price is right.

My criteria for the last year has been to lighten my photo load and still maintain versatility. This head sits atop a Manfrotto monopod, which also is a handy hiking stick. The head and monopod are just over 2 lbs. When I discover an image my Sony A 6000, with quick disconnect plate attached can be quickly mounted. The single lever adjustment release works well for monopods in that additional adjustment by moving and adjusting yourself works for final compositions. Another nice surprise I found with this head is a disconnect safety built into the quick release, as the plate clamp is unscrewed the screw mechanism will stop till the screw shaft is pulled and turned as a final release of the plate. I am very pleased with this ball head.

The IN Collection is Benro's entry-level aluminum ball head for those beginning to explore photography. These double action ball heads are extremely intuitive and easy to use.
