Overall its a good tripod. The general build quality is not as good as some more expensive tripods with nearly identical specs. I had a vanguard that was nearly identical where everything felt very smooth and a bit more solid, but it was about $50 more. That extra money is worth it if you need that extra solid build. The manfrotto will work great for me as I am tall and need a tall tripod that folds up fairly small and the build quality should be good enough to last me a long time as I am not using a tripod that often or under difficult shots. I got this for around $90, and it was well worth it. 4 folding leg segments are a big deal if you want to collapse the tripod small. No 3 leg adjustment tripods can go that high and fold that small. Its the modern design that every single maker is using now, and its clear its a budget tripod, but if you have lite duty work, want one that goes up high and folds down low, and is not expensive, this should be a good deal. I am tall enough where I need it to extend to 66 inches, and most of them don't. It folds to under 17 inches.

Good for lightweight camera & lens combos. A little unstable with the Nikon 200-500 and camera combo with any wind. Good 'luggability' and great feature in the mono pod.

Not a bad little tripod. I would be a little concerned to put a big telephoto lens on it, but it Is a nice little travel tripod. Seems made well, ballhead seems nice too. Comes with a nice padded bag as well.

It is excellent at what it is...a 'Traveler' Tripod. It is reasonably light weight and can be made very compact...exactly what a 'Traveler' Tripod should be. In spite of being light in weight, it is quite stable...not as much so as a heavy tripod, but sufficiently so. I would simply recommend using a shutter release when using a heavy telephoto lens or taking a shot with an extended shutter open setting to prevent any movement of the camera. I am very pleased since it is exactly what I anticipated...maybe a little better even.

I like that it is light weight, fairly adjustable. I would not put 17 lbs on this tripod though, as it is rated. For travel it is great, folds down small for packs and suitcase, but accordingly is limited related to positioning, it has stops with no way to lock in between stops. For more permanent, consistent use, get something stronger and more versatile.

Very pleased with the tripod. It allows me to consolidate my previous tripod and monopod and this comes in a much smaller form factor. It feels precision engineered and the weight isn't terrible.

Very please. Good quality and very good support for a travel tri-pod. Used with a D850 with a 70-200mm and no issues. A little challenging when rotated to portrait mode, but standard landscape mode is solid. Collapses very good as well. Much smaller footprint than my last tri-pod.

The tripod is very good quality and the head is as well. The fact that it reconfigures into a monopod means I can take it to the racetrack and get good still photos of the cars and crowd using the tripod while still being able to get fast sweeping shots of cars at top speed using the monopod. It would be 5 star if it was a little lighter, but it is rugged and will hold up well.

Really like the Manfrotto Traveler Big 5. Very well made. The quick release plate is handy to leave on-camera. Tripod is light enough to carry on backpack but sturdy enough for heavy telephoto and camera, and converts to monopod. Awesome! Thank you Adorama, great product!

I received this tripod as a free gift with the purchase of the Nikon 200-500 lens. It’s an OK tripod compared to the 190 series from Manfrotto and above. For light weight cameras with a light weight lens it should be OK. For this lens I would not use it, but instead my Manfrotto 502.

It says it has a 17.6 lbs capacity, but when I put my 70-200 2.8 on, it still rotated a little with the weight if I had it sideways and had to readjust it several times. Other than that it's a great tripod for the price.

Works out nicely so far- the ballhead isn't super good, but that can be upgraded easily. This is an excellent tripod for the value- not too heavy, and a good base for photography.

The Manfrotto Element Traveler Big tripod kit provides a great solution for those who are looking for a compact solution but needs to support cameras from CSC to DSLR with large lenses. It also gives the flexibility to switch between tripod and monopod applications thanks to the detachable leg.
It includes a bag that is designed to make transportability and handling quick and easy.
