Solid and worth the extra weight
Tripod is very solid and good value, but the ball head is perhaps only a "9." It too, however, is a very good value.

Awesome tripod and head.
This combination of 055 tripod with pro ball head is great.i can see where this is an awesome set up for photography. I use it for a firearm tripod for coyote hunting and it works flawless.

Solid but too heavy
It's solid but too heavy to carry on a hike or as a travel tripod. I returned it.

Great tripod
It is solidly built and easy to use. I like that I can use it at so many different heights and angles including flat lays.

It's obvious well made and should last for years to come.
I needed a heavy duty, sturdy tripod without it being too heavy to carry around. This model, Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum 3 Section Tripod really fits the bill. It's obvious well made and should last for years to come.

Tripod-ball head combo
I wrote separate reviews for the tripod and ball head. this si for the package. Both the tripod and head are beautiful pieces of equipment, and they work extremely well together. I recommend them both, and especially together.

Not Recommend
When I adjust one of the knobs on the ball head it sometimes hits the level bubble on the tripod preventing it from being fully adjustable. This is a big inconvenience. This head and tripod do not seem to be a good match. I do not recommend it.

I am very happy with this tripod
I am very happy with this tripod. The minor adjustment knobs are a great options within a budget. I saw a couple reviews that had issues with the knobs falling apart but honestly, anytime you completely unscrew anything there will be issues...just be mindful. This new version is tremendously lighter and more agile than its predecessor...I'm super happy!
