Bad built quality

I bought the Bose earphone a year back. Its very great with sound and comfort but the built material around the wire is so poor. It started to peal off within 6 months of moderate usage.

Plenty of Volume

I bought these 1 month ago,was also considering the Klipsch R6i II, I was really on the fence about purchasing these after reading some of the reviews, saying they had very low volume. The ear buds so far have great volumei if there put in your ear canal properly.I had a set of Klipsch S4 that these are replacing, the Klipsch S4 finially gave up on the left ear bud after 5 years.I like these so far the only negatives i can think of is there a little hard to remove once there in your ear canal, unlike the Klipsch which are very comfortable and easy to put in ,and take out of your ear,and the volume buttons are a little high up on the right ear bud, which iam use to having that button lower on the cord, hopefully they will last a long as the Klipsch.

Disappointing! (take me back to MEI2)

I've loved MEI earphones for 5+ years and been through a few pairs and always come back for more because the sound was truly incredible and the fit was just right. I recenty broke my SoundSport and MEI2 on the same day! I decided to replace with SoundTrue as I couldn't get the MEI2's anymore for android. I couldn't have been more disapointed. The sound quality just isn't the same - sounding less balanced, bass heavy and a little 'dull'. I just can't wear them as they make the music sound underwhelming and less experiential I've managed to glue my old ones for the time being and contunie to use those daily, that's how disappointing these are. I wish I had listened to the other reviews!

I can only say avoid these

I've been using these for a year now, so I've a good idea of what they are like. Firstly I agree with all the negative comments about transmitted noise. Every footfall, every gust of wind, every breath, every rub of the leads against clothing is heard in your ears, so it is a bit like walking in a rainstorm. I can only use them for listening while I'm static or strolling, and only for speech podcasts, as they are virtually useless for running or for music. For that I use my Quiet Comfort over-ear headphones, but they are a bit bulky for on the go. The way the ear hooks wedge into the fold of skin above the ear hole is cunning and surprisingly secure but ... The reason I came here today is to look for replacement rubber tips. Right from new I found these easily come off, perhaps when I pull the buds out of a pocket, or if they rub agains the zip of a coat, but often just when I pull the bud out of my ear! I usually manage to find the dropped tip, but have been reduced to using other sizes (three pairs of sizes come with the kit). Today I lost another one, and am now one handed. It was surprising that nobody else mentioned this in the reviews, so perhaps I am unlucky with these. They do seem to be an aberration of Bose quality, but definitely to be avoided. I'm off to look for customer services now.

Great sound but realy poor durability

I bought these in December of 2016 and due to the price took a huge amount of care whit them but they deteriorated at the seam of the connection port and cable within a month i then requested a replacement and revived one after 20 daysbut his second pair has lasted me the same amount of time and this time intsted of just hte sheath breaking the wires themselves must have been affected as neither earphone works. which is a shame because the sound quality is spectactular

great passive noise cancellation

I bought this to replace my IE2 in-ear headphones (it broke after 5 years). Unfortunately to me, this headphone's overall sound quality is not as good as IE2. I'm disappointed that the Bass is much weaker than IE2. I hope BOSE restore Bass level similar to IE2 in future in-ear wired headphones. But I am surprised that this product have passive noise cancellation... (maybe because of the design of the new eartips). But to me, noise canceling works better and sounds better than Active noise cancellation QC20 headphones. I am giving me this product a 4 star rating as the quality product is still great overall, the noise cancellation was a plus for me as I was also looking for a good noise cancellation headphone. But it's still not good enough for me to put a 5 star rating as it produces a much weaker bass than IE2. Suggestion: for those who really want the deep bass, or bass level of IE2, try looking for other products.

Great if they lasted longer than 18 months

These are my second pair of Soundtrue in-ear headphones. When they're working, they're great! They don't last long though. :(

I love Bose, bot this pair comes with caveats.

Alright, first off the sound is wonderful. The perk that these have that older generations didn't is the level of outside noise that is blocked out. I can listen to my music at low levels and it is still pristine. And for someone that is constantly listening to music or audio books, they fit the bill for sound. My only beef is with the design. I take good care of these headphones, but with the audio jack being so prominent, it literally catches on everything. It comes out a good inch in a straight line and after just a couple of weeks, you can see the ware on the wire. L shaped adapters or even ones that have a flexible bit of plastic as the connection would seem far more suitable for a daily carry earphone. I stand by Bose though, they've always come through for me in sound quality. The design on this one is just a little awkward.

Good sound but very poor build quality

I bought these from bose outlet in Croma. Pros: 1) love the fit in the ear 2)good noise isolation 3)good sound quality cons: 1) very bad build quality. The cable rubber started coming off exposing the fragile inner wire after 4-5 months of use that too when it was carefully kept in the provided pouch after each use. It is majorly at points where the cable is attached to the the pin or the earpiece or the center joint but not restricted to it. no point of buying such expensive earphones when they don't last to prove their worth.

Sound Amazing But Huge Flaw

I am very disappointed that I had to return these because they sounded amazing. I was blown away by the quality that these things packed and they sound very similar to the over-ear headphones. It's very helpful to adjust the EQ based on your media type and reviews that say there is no bass are completely off. If anything, the bass would be too much (perfect for me though). The disappointment comes from the loud thumping noise that the cable makes when it bumps against your body or rubs against anything. I was hoping that the past reviews were from a different version and this had been addressed, but it's still the case. This was a deal-breaker for me because these are then only useful when sitting still. It seems likely that these are on a discount because they will be replaced in the near future by another model but it's quite a waste of a great sounding pair of earphones. Fortunately, the return process was very simple and I then decided, unenthusiastically, to purchase the soundsport as my earphones to wear at the gym and occasionally out when I don't use my over-ears. Sound: 5/5 Design: 2/5

Sounds good but very poor design

This is my third pair and every exchange was because the wiring would tear at the connector end. This is because Bose uses a straight plug-in design versus an elbow connector design. So for those of you having a port on top of the phone be prepared for constant bending and ultimately tearing of the wire. Only takes a few months. I found if you wrap the wire at the connector end with electric tape it will add some durability. But why do you have to do that? Also the rubber earpieces wear down and not stay fastened. So you may find yourself digging them out of your ear!

Pathetic design

The quality of the wires used is pathetic. To add to it, they've made the design in such a way that the wire remains bent while in use. Wouldn't last long.

Very uncomfortable

The worst headphones Bose has ever made for several reasons: 1. The sound is not good enough 2. They feel very uncomfortable in the ear 3. The wire is too thin and risk of breaking is way to high 4. They slip out the ear very frequently 5. The noise isolation capability in my perspective is referred here to as plugging your ears. The worst Bose buy ever.

Worst earphone from Bose so far

I bought this yesterday from harvey Norman. The biggest drawback is, if the earphone cable moves a bit or rubs against my clothes, it causes high noise in the audio. I am very dissatisfied.

Very disappointed

Just finished my first work out with these and I can't be more disappointed in these. I spent more time adjusting them than I did actually working out. I have been using Bose ear buds for over 6 years and I have never had an issue. The sound is rubbish. They sound as if you are listening through a tunnel. The new design feels as though they are trying to suck your ear drum out of your skull. WAY TOO QUIET! I'm not sure I'll ever buy another Bose product again, in all honesty.

Excellent for Flights

I had read criticisms about noise from the cable. There can be noise when the cable is touched. Maybe I'm not active enough, but I doesn't bother me. I travel for a living. These are terrific. They do a great job of minimizing engine noise. They're not as effective as my QC35's, but if you're traveling light, these are perfect.

The old ones were so much better

Worked great, sound quality was good but broke in less than a week, using my ie2's and they're running strong from about 2 years of heavy usage with the left side slightly quieter than the right.

Overall Great earphones And customer service

I bought these two years ago, and it was my first time ever investing so much in a pair of earphones but no regrets. The bass is amazing, the noise cancellation is perfect for the gym, and the in ear buds are perfect comfort. The customer service is even better, with multiple replacements, no questions asked. My only complaint is that the volume isn't as loud as normal earphones. Highly recommended earphones :)

Lots of rubbing noise, average sound.

These have very good fit and are comfortable to wear. Sound is not irritating but underwhelming, with not much bass. The low rating here is because there is much more than normal of stethoscope-style rubbing noise when cables or earbuds touch against the clothes. I think this is because the rubber tip touches so much of the ear.

Very bad compared with the old and good IE2

I bought them 2 weeks ago, to replace my IE2, which lasted 5 years of daily use (they still sound great, but the cables are tearing apart). The new tips are awful! For 'good' sound they must fit, and its a very uncomfortable feeling, specially after some hours of use. If the tips dont fit right, they are comfortable, but the sound is horrible. They sound like a $5 sony's from the 90s. If the tips fit right (uncomfortable) the sound is decent, 'maybe' close to the IE2 (I did a lot of simultaneous comparisons). Now I must go and experiment with other brands/models or buy a used IE2 from somewhere...

Sounds great

The "T" connection is horrible. The cables don't lie flat, eg: under a jacket. They transmit too much noise from rubbing against clothing. The cable shows signs of fraying at the 3.5 mm plug after just a few months of use.

Too much of static noise with any movement of body

I purchased this with a lot of hopes but disappointed with the static noise. I did online research and found one person commented on trying StayHear tips from SoundSport. I borrowed the Soundsport tips from my friend and to my surprise, the static noise was gone. So definitely there's something wrong with the SoundTrue StayHear Ultra Tips. I understand Ultra tips block some outside noise but it doesn't help it static noise is irritating you all the time. Also, the joints where the Left and the Right split doesn't look very sturdy. Hope Bose can offer a resolution to this and fix future products. This was not expected from a brand like Bose.

Just what i was looking for

I go to the gym everyday and I need headphones that stay in my ear because I'm also a runner. These fit like no headphones I've ever had... perfect! Besides the nice fit, the sound quality is very nice. Vocals and Bass sound great while also blocking outside noises. The extra buttons on the cord that I don't use are just an extra perk. The little clip that goes on your shirt is another added perk. Love these.

Great sound but has problems

I've had them for about 6 months and had to return 2 times. I use this product for about 6-7 hours a day 5 days a week. It has pretty good sound and the noise cancelling is decent but, they are not loud enough. The reason i had to return them is because where the cable goes into my phone has gotten frayed. This has been the main problem with them. I have found a way to fix this problem at my own expense, i use a product called sugaru that is like a paste that hardens around the problem area protecting it
