Brother LC201 Innobella Standard-Yield Ink Cartridge, 260 Pages Yield, Black

Unimpressed by the yield of the color cartridges. They drain fast. Doesn't live up to the 1500 pages it claims. I'm always in need of all of the colors before the black one goes. Keep in mind the black cartridge is larger; however, the colors go very quickly, and the colors aren't brilliant when printing. I've checked all of my printer's parameters and done all the cleaning, but still the colors come out faded and dull. These cartridges are too expensive to not give the yield or brilliance they're supposed to deliver.

You don't even have to print anything to use up ink cartridges. Ink costs more than the printer.

Brothers print cartridges are a rip off. I never print in color only in B&W yet when one color runs out you can't print at all. I do all the recommended print selection by manufacturer and still no printing happens. So Brother's make you buy color cartridges.

I just bought a multi pack of these colors and have only replaced the magenta so far. The issue is that I printed less than 50 pages and it says my yeild remaining is less than 400 already. Very disappointed because it lists 1500 pages

There is no way that I am getting 400 page yield on this cartridge. I have been purchasing monthly for my MFC-J497DW from Staples. i date the cartridges now and it is becoming quite expensive. i only use genuine cartridges. today i changed the black and magenta and had to do improve print quality so that sucked up ink.

So the ink itself is fine, If you dont print every day it gets clogged up and you have to do the print head cleaning and improve print quality maintenance functions.

I have long enjoyed Brother large format printers. About two years ago, I got a new one that takes the Inkvestment type inks, and am glad I did! The printer seems to go on printing forever, putting out high quality color images and documents. I only wish Brother would offer a model that prints 13x19. I'd buy one in a minute! Only caveat: Order replacement cartridges well in advance of when you may need them. They took about two weeks to be shipped to me, last time I ordered.

These ink cartridges are very good; wish they lasted longer (I know that is mainly due to the automatic cleaning schedule). Price is reasonable.

Brother forced me, via hardware, to stop using third-party inks. Fine. I ponied up and paid full price for the Brother brand ink cartridges. Now my print quality is worse than ever, with red streaks. The maintenance cycle doesn't fix it. I'm very frustrated.

Not sure what we're doing wrong, but we're only able to get 100 copies out of this supposedly 400+ page cartridge. Can anyone explain what is the problem with these cartridges? Print is great but the yield is not as described.
