we've been without a working printer for a while....the black toner we bought from you leaked and i had to pay $100 to have someone come to figure out what was wrong and clean up the mess inside the printer. am disappointed. this new cartridge, plus the work done to clean the printer is over $165. that's not okay.

We've owned a Brother printer and bought 850 cartridges (as needed) for over a decade with no problems. The Brother products (printer, cartridges, scanner) are excellent- reliable, affordable, etc., and we use them daily.

The fact you can get aftermarket for 8 or 9 dollars a pop. same tn 850 on amazon 4 pack for 35 40 bucks. This is wild. I will change this review once brother fixes their price and stops trying to hurt peoples pockets.

I checked the box for shipping to a PO Box on the website. Brother sent the product via UPS. After 4 days of transit, UPS returned the shipment to Brother without a transfer to USPS, redirect to new address, or alternative pickup location. I had to call for a refund.

Great prints for about the first 2000 pages. Thereafter prints are "dirty' and the internals of the printer are covered in toner. Same issue with multiple cartridges, not just a onetime issue.

This arrived with toner powder leaking all over. It has destroyed my expensive printer. I now have a bright pink line on everything I print. If you can find someplace else to buy toner you should.

So I just replaced a high yield toner cartridge that was still mostly full with this because the chip on it just stopped being recognized by the printer after about a year (no I don't print often). Nothing like spending money to replace something that should not have to be replaced but why should I expect things these days to last.

Toner is great, purchasing & implementation processes are terrible. I hate the interface. Took forever to figure out how to undo an auto order. What a complete hassle. I use a lot of e-commerce and other software for work. This isn't a newbie here. I just want the interfaces and customer service to be so easy I don't have to think about it.

An anomaly, this is the first time I have ever had a cartridge which delivered a yellow edge on the paper as I was printing, an unnecessary decoration. Amusing for me, but a problem for someone in an office.

At first blush, the instructions look intimidating. After reading them, though (second blush) it's easy and quick to change the toner cartridges. Nice to have color (really GOOD color) for a while and not have to worry about it.

I recommend finding another brand printer since their printers require the toner/drum is replaced at certain time period regardless of the number of copies/prints have been run. In our case, we use the TN 223 tiner catridges. Brother says the print cartridges are good for up 1400 prints, however they have some sort of program in the printer that sets a time period when the printer requires the cartridges to be replaced, even though we have not nearly printed an amount even close to the 1400. We are a small church, so at most we are printing 40 pages,double sided a week. The drums are integrill to each toner cartridge. We only have been using black toner for printing, yet when the preset time established in the printer has been reached where it states the drum requires replacement, we have to replace all color cartridges, regardless if they have been used and the cartridges is still full of toner. Learned this directly from the Brothers customer service, when I tried just replacing the black cartridges. What a racket...all to line their pockets and have no concern about the planet. Nice in some cases when they provide a return lable for the "used" cartrideges to be sent back...wonder what they do when they receive full cartridges back?

Agree with previous report. Spend a lot more money on original brand name toners but get a lot less usage than before. Perhaps they are shrinking the toner and not letting customers know the truth.
