DO NOT BUY

I purchased this scope originally and it lasted 3 shooting sessions. Sent it back to Burris, was told it was not repairable and was sent a second scope. It lasted 2 sessions. Both were mounted on my 6.5 Creedmoor rifle. Now I'm waiting on a 3rd scope because the second was deemed unrepairable. Will not refund my money because I didn't buy directly from Burris.

Great dial system

Bought this scope a few months ago for my 300PRC and have nothing but good to say bout it. I'm shooting out to 700 yards and holding a 5-6" group, really good for a hunting rifle.

Awesome glass

I bought two of these in the last year for a 6.5 cm and a .308. Amazing glass for the price. Amazing. The 6.5cm reticle is very true for a 140g projectile. It's scary close.

Shipping Department sucks

Couldnt tell you if scopes are good , do to it takes weeks to receive . $700 00 scope ordered direct thru dealer and week 3 waiting on it to ship. Scopes might be good but the customer service really is horrible . Buy a Luopold or a Vortex both have 3 day shipping. Still waiting. .......

Great scope and stand up company

I've bought "many" Burris scopes since the mid 1990's along with other quality brands. The Burris scopes have always been a great value, out performing the other brands considering price versus performance. They've also been extremely durable never once failing me. I was the first of my family to buy a Burris and now my family are all Burris owners. I had a Burris MTAC Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 4.5-14x 42mm. It was one of my favorite scopes but unfortunately I dropped my heavy laminate stock Winchester rifle while cleaning to the floor landing directly on the ocular lens breaking the scope. Yes, really stupid but I've reprimanded myself enough now, that's why it's called an accident. I called Burris telling them straight-up what happened. They said mail it in and they'll check it out. They kept me informed during all phases of the process and ultimately said it was non-repairable. It was a discontinued scope so they said pick out another scope of similar value in exchange and if I wanted to upgrade I'd just have to pay the difference. The scope I picked out was an upgrade but I was willing to pay the difference. They told told me that upgrade scope (Signature 5x25x50) was within their parameters and they could make that exchange with no additional money required. I was shocked!!! Where do you find a company like this today? I was not out of pocket a penny for accidentally breaking my scope. They were incredibly pleasant throughout the entire process. I always do my homework before buying a new scope and I've bought a lot of them. Burris always stacks up well against the competition but now that I found out that when they say no questions asked warranty, they mean it! For me Burris is a no brainer and I won't look anywhere else. Once again my new Signature 5x25x50 is everything I've come to expect from Burris scopes. Excellent quantity and performance that you may have to pay up to twice as much with other quality brands. There is absolute clearly from 5x all the way up to 25x but I expected that from a Burris.

Necessity for you 6.5 Creedmore

Shooting Hornady Precision Hunter ELDX 143 grain through a Begera. The front focal plane makes it field ready to harvest. Dial it in at 100 yards and you're off and running. I'm not dead on yet at 100 yards but close. With this I'm hitting a 12" plate at 350 yards.

I reviewed several top scope choices not including Burris. But getting some late advice to check out the Burris Sig HD line and I'm glad I did. This scope is hands down a much better value without compromise, the other scopes are very good but Burris brings I all the quality at a much better price , Garuntee know questions ask. I'm sold !

fine hunting scope

Bought this scope for my savage stealth I use for plains hunting. Sighted it in at 100 and first two shots were at 600 yards, both in the boiler room using the reticle. I used my favorite loads for 6.5 eldx 42 g 4350 seated to 2.825 federal primers. thought I might have to tune the load but got lucky I guess. I use s 20 moa rail and I have 48 moa of adjustment which allows me to shoot to 1250 yards. So you can dial for slow shots and quick reticle shots to 700 yards. I believe the yardage numbers need to be bolder. pretty fine scope!

Great Sight on my M2. What I Wished I'd known.

First I got this because after 55 years and 100,000+ rounds on open sights I can't break the habit of focusing on the front sight. Now I can focus on the bird and still have a reference point. Secondly I couldn't get enough drop on my Benelli M2 (about 8 years old and it shot quite high. Now all problems solved. Installation was somewhat of a chore on my M2. The roll pins that replace the dimples on the drop shims were too big for the holes in the receiver. You can force them with a hammer but will have a terrible time getting the whole thing apart. I wanted to be able to remove the stock and Speedbead easily when it gets wet. I took a metal file to the pins but only on the portion that go into the receiver and got a tight fit but yet I can get the thing apart. Don't remove any material from the pin where it goes through the mount or into the stock. The pins are a little long, especially if you don't use any shims but this is easy to remedy with a little filing or slight bit of drilling into the stock. Better long than short. My pins are tight enough that they tend to stay in the receiver and the mount slides off with a little work. I can remove the pins from the receiver with pliers, if I have to. I think having the mount tight on the receiver is important. The pins are small for the holes in the stock but I don't think that is an issue as it all tightens up when bolted together. Don't try to use smaller diameter pins as they won't be tight in the mount. a little wiggle room helps when assembly and disassembly since there are forces coming from multiple angles and the stock comes off at an angle due to the recoil tube. I took the foam padding off the bottom back of the mount where it contacts the stock as it made everything more difficult as it puts pressure on the stock when assembling. There is a little button where the foam is that puts pressure on the stock from a set screw (wedge screw) that can be used to elevate the mount and also helps stabilizes the mount. This can make stock removal more difficult as it puts pressure on the stock and requires removal of the sight to access. I snugged this up as much as I could but yet could still get the whole thing apart without removing the sight from the mount. NOTE: the button can fall out, especially if the foam is removed and it is hard to find. If the stock is pulled slightly away from the mount but is still wedged into the bottom of the mount you can turn the stock sideways and it will take the pressure off and the stock can be removed. By all evidence so far as long as I can remove the stock and sight without having to access the wedge screw I can reassemble the shotgun and still maintain my zero. If you like to carry or hold your shotgun with the butt on your hip it may be uncomfortable to hold as the mount can dig into the web of your hand. It does not interfere with shooting at all. I'm sure a little work on the mount could make it more comfortable if you have big hands. I didn't see it listed anywhere but the unit comes with two risers and longer screws to raise the sight and a sun shade/protector that snaps onto the sight and has clear plastic lenses so you could shoot with it on. If you use the risers, you will not be able to use the shotgun bead as a back-up as POA will not be the same.

Difficult mounting

Bought this for a Benelli M2 and immediately had difficulty mounting. The pins were too large to go into the receiver holes. I had to use a dremel to reduce the out diameter of the pins in order to get them to go into the receiver holes, then the pins were too long so I had to trim them in order for the stock and receiver to sandwich the mounting plate nicely. Really not sure what happened here as I ordered/received a Benelli M2 specific mount. Not sure who to blame on the out of tolerance manufacturing, Benelli or Burris but either way it took me about 2.5 hours to get the sight mounted. I would have expected 30 minutes or less.

Lowest mounting height.

I bought the SpeedBead specifically for turkey hunting. To install it on my SBE3 I had to slightly modify it since a model for this gun isn't available. I love the fact that I can co-witness the red dot of the Vortex Venom & my fiber optic open sights - a reference & a backup are always there. I simply remove the Venom when using the gun for other purposes. The SpeedBead stays in place, out of the way.

Dead On!!!

Purchased my new Speed Beed for my M2. Three shots later i put 74 pellets in the kill at 40 yards. Amazing how you can see the difference in shot placement then using a fixed beed on a barrel. And i have taken two turkeys with it so far. Can’t wait till duck season. Thanks for a great product! T. Kelsoe Hartselle,AL

Speedbead not sturdy enough

Flimsy legs and unable to steady the fastfire. Ended up flaring up edge of my stock. So after all was said and done, had to buy a new stock and drill and tap my gun to get a steady mount. Do not recommend.

Doesn't fit my SBEII

Purchased a month ago and is headed back to Burris for the second time. The speed bead does not allow the Fastfire to adjust low enough on elevation. The wedge screw bottoms out on my gun, elevation adjusted all the way down and still point of impact is about 1' high. Was told I should look at shimming my $1,800 gun to work with the site. Fastfire itself seems to function and adjust properly but I can't give fair review as of now.

Failed from day 1

To start, the product , based on the description, was suppose to have Fastfire 3 red dot, but it came with a Fastfire 2. And it never worked. I even tried a different battery just to make sure. The store would not exchange it, saying I had to go through Burris warranty. They did offer to cancel my order and return the product, but I wanted to try it out. Luckily, it is winter and no hunting or range open at this time so I will wait to get it back.

Changes to sight.

I found this site to be just about right. I just wish I could switch it from red to green dot.

Burris Optics SpeedBead Specifications

0 Accessories for Burris Optics SpeedBead, Red Dot Shotgun Sight for the Benelli 12 Gauge Super Black Eagle II

About Burris Optics SpeedBead

Before you take your next shot, consider the revolutionary SpeedBead Red Dot Shotgun Sight, designed specifically for the Benelli 12 Gauge Super Black Eagle II. This innovative optical system enhances your shooting accuracy without adding any extra height, weight, or imbalance to your firearm.

The SpeedBead System addresses many of the challenges that often lead to missed shots in wingshooting. It helps transform novice shooters into proficient ones, and proficient shooters into experts. Renowned shooting instructors often stress the significance of a proper stock-to-shoulder fit and consistently mounting the shotgun in the same position for each shot. While this is achievable on the trap range, it becomes considerably more challenging in real-world hunting scenarios involving fast-moving targets like pheasants, quail, grouse, and waterfowl.

With the SpeedBead System, you can maintain focus on both the target and the red dot simultaneously. The strategic positioning of the optics on the sight plane eliminates the need for perfect head alignment for an accurate shot. The ingenious mount aligns the center of the optic directly with the ventilated rib, meaning you don't have to alter your shooting style.

The SpeedBead offers a generous eye relief of 3-1/2 inches to 4-1/2 inches, ensuring there's no risk of your eyebrow coming into contact with the sight or any interference with your hand gripping the shotgun. Powered by a common CR-2032 battery, the SpeedBead provides reliable performance for up to five years. In the unlikely event of battery failure, you can easily revert to your front bead without any visual obstruction.

For enhanced visibility on rising targets, 1/8" and 1/4" risers are also available. The SpeedBead Red Dot Shotgun Sight for the Benelli 12 Gauge Super Black Eagle II is a game-changer, offering a superior shooting experience for all levels of shooters.
