Panasonic Eneloop AA batteries
I didn't have to charge these batteries when they arrived. I put them in my flash and took several photos that turned out as good as if I had the regular batteries in it. Haven't had to charge them yet. Looks like I will have these batteries for a long time.

Fast recovery times
I have only been using them for a few weeks. I use them in two Speedlites and it seems like they are ready to go much faster than with alkalines.

The Best!
With 5 camera, from a pocket Canon to the Nikon F4e, and 4 Speedlites, I use a lot of batteries, and the Eneloop performs like no other. I recommend these to everyone for performance, economy and reliability. I also use the AAA size in flashlights, in the house and in the truck, and they just work, even during a northern winter. A word of caution; do not use a so called "fast charger" , at least not all the time as the heavy charge will damage the cells and shorten their useful life. Spend the money, buy them once with a quality charger (I use the Panasonic charger made for the Eneloop, and a Lacrosse to "recondition" old cells) and they last and last. Well worth it.

So far they are great in my speedlites
While shooting an event for friends I found how quickly I went thru a set of alkaline batteries half way thru. Now armed with Canon's CP-E4N, a 600 EX II-RT and Eneloop batteries I look forward to my next shoot in two weeks. I'll have more information on real world performance of these AA batteries. I've already changed out all my speedlites in favor of the rechargeable batteries. So far I've found them to be a great investment.
