Shopper : What does the aperture size mean? I assume 4.5" is better telescope than a 3.2". Is that correct?ANDREW R : Generally speaking the aperture of a telescope refers to the main light gathering lens (on a refracting telescope) or mirror (on a reflector telescope). The larger the size, the more light gathering ability a scope has.
