Easy to order the correct part for a novice.
Well it worked which was my main concern as a novice. Easy to use the Dell website to find the correct part, so the fact that it was a little pricey was helped by having the confidence that it would be right and work. The free delivery helped and it only took a couple of days to arrive.

Easy way for a bit more speed

8GB SODIMM - great value
I bought my Dell Inspiron 3455 with 4GB of memory. But just starting Windows 10 took 70% and starting Chrome took just about everything else. The system was constantly swapping and thrashing. And slooooow.
I finally decided to order another 4GB from Dell, but all they had available were 8GB chips. So that's what I got. I kept the original 4GB chip and added the 8GB chip for a total of 12GB.
Now I can open all the apps I need and memory usage is around 50%. What a great performance boost. No more swapping and thrashing - yay!
