Works great with my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus sans case. Software is compatible with most of phones settings. Great tool for raising videos above the herky jerky look of "home movies". Glad I purchased it from Adorama. Would recommend to family and friends.

The gimbal handles my iPhone X with an OtterBox case...barely. The rated capacity for the gimbal is 300g. My phone, with case, comes in at 280g. Getting the combination to balance is possible, but tricky. After about a half hour of use, the gimbal motors are noticeably warm. The workaround is straightforward: take the phone out of any case for the duration of the shoot. Your gimbal motors and battery will thank you for it.

I bought this for a trip to Hong Kong, and it was my first time using a gimbal. I made sure I had read the instructions and knew how to use it before leaving. At first it seemed great, but I noticed it was tilting slightly in one direction despite having balanced it. I tried the auto-calibration in the DJI app, but after several attempts, it failed midway each time. Finally I used the manual roll adjustment, which seemed to mostly work. While on my trip, there were several instances when I tried shooting video of more than 5 minutes. Often, somewhere around the 6-8 minute mark, the gimbal would just give up — completely stop balancing and need a restart. That really started to get annoying. I was also really disappointed in the low resolution of some of the special modes in the app like panoramic photos and motionlapse videos. I've returned this and ordered a Freefly Movi.

Very impressed with this. I have had other gimbals amd this is by far the best I have used. Like all rhings please watch revoews and learn how to use it and the functions. DJI makes some of the best products!

This gimbal offers lots of advanced features for its price point (subject tracking, motion timelapse, etc...). I would have kept it except for the fact that the motor would simply start to shake uncontrollably at any point (at startup, in the middle of a shot or of a timelapse). This meant many ruined shots and siometimes simply not being able to startup the gimbal and use it. I worked with DJI to troubleshoot the issue but couldn't resolve it so I returned the gimbal. My other issue with the gimbal was that the horizon levelling tended to drift over time - even if I calibrated it at start every time. This means all your shots end up slightly off kilter.

Intuitive. Offers reliable stabilization for home videos. Battery life lasts days with moderate use. Fairly priced. I pair mine with a Samsung Note 8 and film using the FilmicPro app. I only wish the DJI app for android would better utilize my phone's camera capabilities (e.g. enable 60fps at 1080p, access to other native settings) and give me access to other features available on iPhones such as slow mo etc.

The Osmo 2 is a wonderful piece of equipment. I would highly recommend purchasing this stabilizer! However, if you're using anything like an IPhone 8 plus with a case, the phone has issues with that size. Without a case, the IPhone 8 plus works well. Other than that phone size issue, it truly is a great stabilizer. It's 4 stars strictly because the the weight/size limitations that I've stated earlier.

Not large enough to hold my S9+ without removing the case. Balancing procedure is tedious and attachment points are not particularly well designed. Probably ok for smaller phones...

The title says it all. I have to kill the app and start it afresh every time I want to use the gimbal, otherwise it makes horrible grinding noises when turned on. The app won't install unless you give it access to location information, as if this were a drone.
