I'd give it a 5 but nothing is perfect. Truth is the ribbon cable going to gimbal was really squashed and other 2 cables tangled in it. I worked LONG to get it all back correct. Flys great! (Over 10 miles now). Camera works good even though it trembles and vibrates at times. (Not blades) Great drone and no regrets with it. Nothing comes close for price.

I have flown R/C helicopters and planes for almost two decades. I truly expected the DJI Phantom 3 Standard to be almost the same to fly as a helicopter. I was plsently surprised. The Phantom 3 Standard is perfect for both beginner and seasoned R/C'er. This can be flown by anyone, even if they have never touched an R/C model. It truly will fly itself if you want it to. The camera is 2.7k and really shines and is perfectly stable. Adorama shipped it on Monday and I received it on Thursday. Thanks Adorama and thanks DJI. Don't second guess buying this, just go ahead and then thank me later.lol

After having flown the toy-like quads for a while (Syma products, mainly), I wanted to step up to something which really enabled aerial video and photography. I learned to fly using devices with short range (100m or less) and no stabilization, no GPS, or any failsafes. This is a great way to get the feel of flying. Sure, you get a better experience in every way with the Mavic Pro, but it's also backordered and twice the price. This is a great basic device. It has a fantastic camera (rock-solid stable, no lens distortion, and good colors) and is dead-simple to fly. Put it somewhere, it stays there. What a change from the low-end world! Also, it's fast. I got it up to 35mph with the wind. For what this device has, it's a great deal. However, know that you're passing up on many key features of newer devices. Range: No Lightbridge, meaning, it only goes about a half mile in good conditions (wifi, cell towers, power lines, and buildings all reduce range). New ones can do 3 miles plus. Size: This is a big device, and you're not taking it "on the trail". Battery: It's a few minutes less than the newer ones, about 20 minutes with decent wind, more in calmer conditions. Smarts: It has no avoidance or indoor flying features that new ones have. This is strictly an outdoor device, best flown with plenty of open space. I'm giving it 5 stars because for its price, it's great. If you have the money to spare, go for the Phantom 4 or Mavic Pro. It's this, but better.

I'm a beginner, but my 7 year old grandson and I have been having a blast flying this thing. My daughter had purchased a toy drone for me, but it wasn't really very good or easy to fly. This one is like night and day in comparison. I highly recommend it. The price that I paid at Adorama was great, and it really is a waste of money to buy some of the cheaper toys that are advertised when you can get this full fledged drone for a few bucks more. You'll never need more, but, of course, after flying this one, you may be "hooked" and want more, just like me.

I purchased this drone In response to growing demand from my customers for aerial video. I have a few friends in other parts of the country that also use this drone and they recommended it to me highly. A few practice flights later, I am producing high-quality videos for my customers. The tutorial videos were great and connecting my iPhone 6s Plus was extremely easy. You definitely need the extra battery that comes with this bundle - flight time is about 20-25 minutes. The added case in this bundle is definitely a plus as well. Will recommend this product...

The Phantom 3 Standard is easy to fly. I'm having no problems flying it and I had never had a drone controller in my hand. Only problem I've had is bright sun on my mobile device screen reduces what you can see.
