love the drone although it give you limit it on altitude for the beginner, plus I'm still learning the settings and the buttons from the controller. only cons is a little expensive, other wise its fun to fly

I am loving my phantom4. Awsome features. Brilliant technology. Video stabilization is unbelievable. I have already tested it in >10mph and it hovers on the same place regardless of wind.

DJI is the Apple of the drone industry. Quality. Quality. Quality. I chose the regular Phantom 4 (over the Advanced/Pro version) because I like that it has a wider FOV and you can't beat the price!

I'd say actually 3 1/2 stars, not 4 .... And I'd recommend only with caution. The Phantom 4 is awesome, but DJI's business practices with regard to software updates and customer service are actually pretty bad. If you look on DJI forums, you'll find a LOT of complaints about these two things. The images you get and the things you can do with this drone are simply amazing! It's really well designed, but DJI really needs an overhaul of their customer service and updates (which are occasionally mandatory and you cannot fly until you update).

Great quad! But since it's a thousand bucks I took my time reading about it and prepping for my first flight. As advertised, the battery only lasts about 20-25 minutes, so this package with the extra battery is a good idea. Unfortunately, BOTH of the batteries I got were bad. Wouldn't charge. The return process was pretty easy since I worked that through amazon.

works good.started out life with the original 350 qx by blade and this is much improved over 1st gen. drones The.only draw back is for what they cost you have to be very careful when you fly which takes some of the fun out but still a good drone.

Very easy to use but instructions not really in box and more of a video you'd need to watch. Set up your phone and parameters indoors before you go out but DON'T try to fly indoors unless you're experienced. Nice machine and video.

Talking about entry level Semi-Pro drone, Phantom 4 is the drone you must try your hands on. If Inspire or other professional models costs bomb to your pocket, P4 is the one which will deliver super results in relatively lessor price ( as compared to prices for pro drones ) There are some good things about this drone, as well as darker side as well. 1. Size : This drone is relatively bigger in size and needs a bigger bag to safely carry this craft to destination location. Considering the Mavic and Karma in market, I would say this drone would need lot of space. 2. Stability and Speed : P4 is definitely very stable when in flight, and would precisely track & lock its position when its not receiving instructions from RC. The drone can also fly really fast, in its S mode. The other all times, it flies really great. 3. Battery : As the Battery Management System ( BMS ) is getting evolved gradually, I would be happy that drone manages to draw 20-22 mins of flight in full recharge. But I would be sad too, that its less than 25 mins of time on a single battery and hence generating a need of extra battery purchase. 4. Active Tracking Feature though is good addition, it doesn't really work the way its sold by DJI. 5. Video Quality has been really amazing, and there are no complaints about t. 6. DJI has really really weird Return policies. Its recommended to read Return policies, before making this purchase, or else drone crash may burn your pocket. 7. DJI must start defaulting the preventive accessories with the Drones itself, like Propeller guards, jerk absorbers, preventive body shape for avoiding crashes. This would help drones not only prevent from crashing, but also preventing public risks due to drone crashes. 8. RC for the Drone is much bigger, and takes extra space during transport. Overall, a good drone to start off, but needs some changes for betterment.

I read the manuals, and online tutorials and am starting out slow to get the feel of this excellent device. The software has a lot of information, so this will take a bit to learn, but so far, so good. The pics and video are fantastic and this one of the most important reasons I picked the Phantom 4.

This thing is exactly what a first time drone owner should get. It is VERY simple and maneuverable. You can really lose it and works on all levels. If your on the fence pull the trigger, you can thank me later!

The design and functionality is very good. My warning is because after three flights I had a problem with the Return to home feature and in trying to keep if from going into 1 foot of water I inadvertently crashed it into three feet of water. Here is where the caution comes in. I Bought the DJI Care for accidental damage by the pilot and I had read that it did not cover Water damage but I am now on my fourth call to DJI to get an RMA to repair the unit at my expense and so far DJI has been astonishingly reluctant to help me and unbelievably I have been told 1) that my DJI Care is now void if DJI replaces the Drone (which is 3 days old) even though I am not using it for the repair. 2) that it would be cheaper to buy another Drone kit. REALLY !!!! even a replacement drone should be around half the price since more electronics are in the controller. And I 've asked for an estimate for paying for a Drone alone but no one is calling me back. I have taken responsibility for the water crash but you should be aware NOT to use the RTH function if you don't have a 66 foot landing area (yes even though GPS has 9 foot accuracy) and REALLY important - once you press the RTH button YOU CAN'T do several functions including rotate the Drone which was my fatal mistake - with ten feet height left I quickly rotated the Drone not looking at it but the controller so I did not see it do nothing and then I pegged the bank Lever to bring it back to shore and I was horrified to look up and see the Drone still descending and plunge into the water AWAY FROM ME ! This information should be on a BIG RED sticker on top of the Drone when delivered. And DJI should fix that unreasonably large RTH landing area !!!

Really like this new model Phantom. The optics on the camera perform better and are definite improvement over previous models. More stable in the air than the P3, smoother flying. The obstacle avoidance feature, though not perfect, is certainly an advantage over not having it. Wish it had it above and that it covered more than the 60º it does, but glad to have it. The landing gear is stronger than the P3's. Without a doubt it is worth getting over it's predecessors.
