The X-Rite Color Checker Classic has great colors to match too. Does exactly what it's suppose to do.

I could show befpre/after photos from editing using this card but there are plenty online already. It really does make a huge difference using this if you remember to shoot a frame with it. I've had mine for about a year and it's holding up well, but there are some sections between the colors where the black is beginning to peel off. Hopefully it doesn't actually separate.

I use the Color Checker to develop custom camera profiles for different lighting conditions. The custom profiles greatly reduce the time required to process RAW images. I also get far better color accuracy than I could without it. The only negative I have is that the card does not lay flat, it has a slight warp resulting in a twist. This however does not effect the accuracy, its just annoying.

I have always wanted to get one of these to verify my white balance and colors. This works beautifully for that!

Everyone I work with says my color is the best. I put it down to color checker. Do wish a smaller grey's only version was available.

I used to sell these when I managed a camera store in Orange County, CA. I remember them being mounted on thicker backing then with the unit I just bought. I worry about damaging it.[...]

I use the X-Rite Color Checker to create custom camera profiles for ACR. I have created custom camera profiles using other manf's color charts but did not obtain desired results. Once I used the X-Rite Color Checker there were major improvements in my camera profiles. It is the industry standard!

Useful in unusual lighting situations, where a non-standard illuminant, mixed illuminant, or predominant ambient color is present. If you haven't used a color checker before, this is *the* standard. It comes with a little "using your color checker" card that I found very useful - things to check for, etc.

May not have been necessary for me since I don't do studio work. But it helps to have something standard to judge color in digital processing and printing.

I purchased a Spyder3 to calibrate my monitor but still needed a reference to adjust the RAW photo colors. This is device is the ticket.

Having a standard that can be counted on for accuracy is a must in any color managed workflow. This chart fits the bill and I have been able to calibrate the last remaining unprofiled source, my camera's sensors. Had no idea that there could be such a difference in a profiled sensor. Highly recommend for anyone serious about color management.

There is not enough info on the GretagMacBeth website on how to use this product with Adobe PhotoShop. I had to search the web for forums.

If you're shooting RAW and you need accurate color reproduction, there's no better way than using this ColorChecker! Use ACR or any other RAW converter and match your colors to the truth.

Has All the Right Colors

I purchased a Spyder3 to calibrate my monitor but still needed a reference to adjust the RAW photo colors. This is device is the ticket.
One of the most photographed images in the world, a checkerboard 4x6 array of 24 2" scientifically prepared colored squares in a wide range of colors used for calibrating and evaluating color reproduction systems.
Many of these squares represent natural colors such as human skin, foliage, and blue sky. The industry standard for color comparison.
The ColorChecker is 8.5"x11.5" proportioned to fill a 35mm frame. Packaged in a protective sleeve with instructions describing suggested applications and technical information.
