My first better than cheapie tripod and I like it. Minor issue one of the legs slow to extend but I think that will improve with usage.

This is a Great Tripod, I am using it with a Benro G2 Gimbal Head mount and this is a very solid combination. Not the lightest, but it is rock solid.

When I first used my Feisol Elite CT-3472 tripod, I instantly regretted not ordering one with a center column (the CT-3472LV model for example). I ordered one sans center column, because I wanted the increased rigidity of a tripod without the column (due to past experiences with other tripods and their flimsy center columns) and I was willing to adjust the legs manually when more/less height was needed. Unfortunately, I quickly grew tired of making small minute adjustments to the legs to reach the perfect height for me (5' 11"). Adorama and Feisol to the rescue with the CT-3472CCKIT center column kit to ease the burden and I'm happy to say that it accomplishes the task wonderfully. It's just as thick and rigid as the tripod, yet barely adds any weight. Tightens well enough to form a near seamless and an immovable bond with the tripod. And the modular design of the tripod allows me to swap it with the original base-plate or horizontal columns quickly using the included hex-screwdriver (or your own). This is my perfect tripod for studio and heavy duty work and it was FAR cheaper than most competitors with similar offerings.

For almost half of the price compared to competing Gitzo's this seems to be better in almost any aspect based on initial impression. Only time will tell if it last as expected. But for now it looks like the best choice for the stable tripod for any type of DSLR (at least up to Canon 1D-Mk4+600mm f4).

I wanted a tripod with no center column. I felt a center column induced vibration with the long lense and heavy setup I had. I found Fiesol tripods and did a lot of reading about this brand. Initially I was going to get a "smaller" model but was advised to get the big one. This thing impresses me as a monster (not in a bad way) Yes, the legs on this things are hugh compared to my Manfrotto tripod (055CXPRO3) and they spread much wider. It folds down slightly smaller than my Manfrotto tripod. I still am not sure how much I like the rotating locks but I think I will get used to them. I keep loosening and tightening the wrong ones! I got the anti-rotation legs. I can grab all three locks and unlock the entire leg at one time. The legs sections slide very smoothly with little resistance. Now, I have only used it once. It is a slow time for outdoor photography in the Pacific Northwest (snow country). The weight of the tripod does not bother me. It is heavier than my Manfrotto but the tripod still feels nice and light.

My plan was to buy Gitzo with similar spec. but I decide to go with Feisol after watching video review in Youtube. When it arrive I just fall in love with it. It's light compare to size and solid
