Very good kit for product photography.
Be aware this is a kit, but it is very well made! The kit include the horizontal mount that need to be screwed on your tripod screw (you need to remove the tripod head of course). Than you will mount the horizontal leg and mount your tripod head on one side of this one.
The kit is great and it fits perfectly on my Benro tripod. The leg is made by carbon so it fits well with a carbon tripod. The horizontal adapter you mount over the tripod is very sturdy. I think is a very great kit for the price and is a nice add on for your tripod if you shoot product photography and you like to shoot from the vertical.

I use it on the my telescope tripod
Nice and smooth, locks firmly with large knob. I bought a cheap knock-off initially and that was a big mistake

Great panning base for landscape and video
This pano base is very smooth when in use with accurate drag adjustment possible. Using the resistance adjustment dial, it can also easily be locked down tightly. This base served me so well after 5+ years that decided to buy a second one to accompany both my new mirrorless/video & MF film landscape camera setups.

Perfect for use with a seaport on a tripod

It's a great panning tool...
Note: it has a constant friction force. It doesn't matter if you turn the screw a little or a lot the ease of panning remains the same.

AWESOME!!!!
This is exactly what I was looking for! My SkyGuider didn't have a way to pan so I was having to move my tripod around to polar align. This thing is very well built and rock solid when locked down!

Adquires "play" with use
Very smooth rotation. However it adquires '' play" after about 1-2 month use.I removed the base and adjusted the screws : the play was gone but returned about 1-2 months later. I need a way to secure the base screws so they do do not become loose. (If you tight them fully then the base doesn't rotate)

Great unit
Great panning base, very well made. I use this with a cheap gimbal head that has a good vertical arm but the panning base wobbles when loose enough to turn. Even adding the price of this to the cost of the gimbal head I have a cheap setup that works as good as more expensive units.

handy to have
Much lighter than a rotator with click stops, the degree markings alone suffice. Price point is very favorable.

ARGH! I lost mine!
I left it in a rental car! I can't live without it! OK I'm being dramatic, but...
I use it for the azimuth adjustment on my German Equatorial mount - it's that strong.
Oh, it works for panoramic photos too.
This device is the absolute best for just rotating something - nothing else - no slop - just rotation.
I'm trying to decide whether to buy two or three to replace the one I lost. It may go out of production.
Seriously for the size and price, this is it.
