Great value (Black Friday sale made it even better) and excellent performance... I actually purchased two of these for a proper studio setup and I opted for the battery-powered version as it gives me more flexibility... However, proper care of these (expensive) batteries is required to ensure many years of service. I found several great videos regarding battery care on Youtube...

This was a great buy. Used it once straight out of the box and I’m excited to use it outside soon with high speed sync.

It was just like its photo. Has all the power you will ever need. I shoot manual with a meter so don't miss the TTL at all. Works great with the trigger also. It is a bit heavy for being up high on a stand but with the ext. head it is no problem.

More than meets anyone expectations. Great price. I use it for real estate photography and it has more than enough power to light up the interior of homes I shoot. Equivalent power of 3 speedlights.

We have been purchasing these for our photography student lab and they are great for our studio and location courses. I love almost everything about them but the LED modeling lamp is a little weaker than we prefer in a studio environment but the battery pack and HSS capabilities help us forget about that.

This monolight is GREAT. It is enclosed in a very nice case ( which it is shipped in ) and upon opening the case you can see that the light and other items are nicely packed, Although this light is heavier than the Flashpoint 400 Pro, it is not so heavy that it is uncomfortable to use in the field on location. It is comfortable to carry, easy to setup, and in my opinion it lives up to its well deserved reputation.

Haven't had the opportunity to put it through it's paces yet, but I love it so far. The portability is great, makes on-location shoots so much easier than alternative monolights that require cables and extension cords.

Amazing light and the price is great. I love these lights, easy to use, long battery life, reliable. The only improvements that occur to me is they should make a hand grip on the handle for when someone is holding the light for you. Like a formed pistol grip.

I tried to get the real estate lighting results i needed with a Nikon SB800 but it always fell short. This mono light is a game changer! I now have all the power I need to create beautifully lit photos. So thankful I took a chance on it.

Now that I have been using these for around a year or more now, here goes my 10 cent review. For the money, you cannot go wrong. This is the older version. I am tempted to get the newer version, but these (I have 2) have done everything I need...inside or outside. The HHS option makes for crazy, fun and client loving photos outside in full sun. I have gotten some amazing shots for clients. Of course at first there was much learning and perfecting the usage of this flash. And versus ProPhoto.....I still have alot of cash in my pocket.

I've been getting by with slaved Speedlights, with lots of misfires and short trigger distances and having to be sure the lights are within "view" of the controller and waiting for recycling and having most but not all the power I wanted. Then Adorama offered a demo 600TTL on eBay and I grabbed it hoping it would be almost as good as the YouTube reviews suggest --it's better! I coupled it with the latest controller and a couple of receivers for my Speedlights (with the appropriate receivers they work more reliably, at much greater distance, and with no worries about orientation). For about $650, I've got a capable lighting rig I would've expected to cost 2-3x as much, which leaves room for better stands and plenty of modifiers. Good deal all around.

The lights themselves came quickly. The Canon trigger however has yet to come. Over a week later. I'd review the whole package if I could get it to work but without a trigger it's useless to me. Next time I'd go to B&H and get the Godox.

I bought this strobe for outdoor work in bright sun using the HSS. i tell you it has no t let me down . i only had it since Jan and have been doing some cold outdoor shoots just to test it, i just love this product. fast recycle time ,great color temp . its build is sturdy and well made. this light packs a punch. would highly recommend it. I did not get the TTL model because i just never shoot TTL so this is fine for me.

Fantastic value and performance
By Mark K.
I’m an early adopter on lighting gear. Always have been. And like all early adopters I run into the quirks and problems associated with early development of gear. I always test gear before I use it commercially, but sometimes my testing is not exhaustive enough to anticipate every situation. And as any working pro knows, something ALWAYS goes wrong on every shoot no matter how much you plan. It’s just part of the deal. I was one of the first adopters of PCB’s Einstein 640ws strobes. Excellent...

This really cool. I have an a6300 and this works perfectly with it. Lets talk about recycle times. Unless you are on full power to 3/4 power this thing recycles almost instantly. I was really impressed with this considering it is using just a battery. For inside work this is perfect especially for kids. Outside depending on how much juice you need this will still work great, but a touch longer on the recycle time for full power. I am so happy to finally have an integrated lighting syst...

The Flashpoint 10' Century C Stand Kit is a worthy carrier of the time honored C Stand tradition of secure and powerful light and modifier supports for cinema and still studios. The C Stand kit features a 10', two tier spring loaded riser column with a baby pin on top, removable turtle self locking base legs, 2 aluminum 3.0" grip heads and a 40" extension boom arm.
The stand base features a specially designed sure locking mechanism that is unique to the C Stand series. Each leg firmly sets to a preset lock position for easy swing setup and then flat for compact storage and transport. Individual legs can be swung to any angle, breaking out of fixed leg stance of classic stands. The 'Turtle Base' provides an exceptionally low center of gravity, balancing off axis gear without tipping the assembly, especially when secured with saddlebag style sandbags. The unique staggered curved leg design allows C Stands to be nested allowing for several to be used in close proximity. The lower leg can also be slid under many objects.
The kit's extension gobo rod arm precisely slips into the aluminum 3.0" grip heads, supporting light modifiers, arms, scrims, cantilever flags, gobos or smaller lights, into exact position. The 5/8" diameter arm and Grip/Gobo/KnuckleHead combination can be used as a short boom, is tremendously helpful on still life sets, supporting everything from reflectors to soup spoons in clamps. The cast aluminum head design has interlocking facing surfaces to keep a fixed position when supporting accessories on the steel arm in one of its four 3/4", 5/8", 3/8", and 1/8" diameter channels. The jaws open to a maximum of 1-1/8" to hold rods, dowels and studs. The channel disks pivot about the center tightening handle and is grooved to friction hold firmly. When used atop light stands, it attaches via a 5/8" baby pin receiver hole with a choice of two places on the length for the tightening grip handle, taking best advantage of shorter studs on standard light stands or the included 5.5" longer baby pin ends on Century Stands
Altogether, the C Stand stands alone in the wish list of absolute 'must-haves' for your studio.

The name 'Century Stand' goes back to the days of motion picture production. There were no artificial light sources. No large tungsten lamps and certainly not quartz bulbs to illuminate. Just light from the sun. The film sets would revolve on platforms to assure a constant light from the sun above. Carefully positioned giant reflectors would be strategically placed to deflect the sunlight up onto the stages and thereby illuminate the scene and actors. While the reflectors were made in many sizes and shapes, the most popular was the 100 inch, or 'century', sized reflector. Stage assistant then created tools to aid them in the support of these 100" reflectors and invent ed what we now call C Stands. The first C Stands could not adjust or swivel, but they easily nested together just as they do today. Time tested and proven as an invaluable stage property, today's Century Stands, or C Stands, are an essential element in the image maker's inventory of tools.
GLOW PARAPOP 38 PORTABLE SOFTBOX
The Glow ParaPop 38 is the mobile solution to speedlights, studio and large portable strobes, featuring flattering, soft and rich color lighting with all the great advantages of the softbox/umbrella quality of our very successful GlowHexaPop line. Once constructed, the lightweight ParaPop 38 opens and closes speedily. Setup in a snap for action with jointed positioning rods that lock with a simple click into the dedicated speedring and release to collapse the softbox with twin safety tabs, sounding a signature 'pop'. The combination of the perfect reflector diffuser together with the unique deployment and closing 'pop' system makes for a dynamic solution to portable softbox lighting.
This evolutionary innovation is available for 5 popular speedlights, monolights and studio strobe head via custom interchangeable rings that fit on the ParaPop and QuadraPop mobile softboxes.
You can own one Pop's for many lights.
A special bracket for hot shoe mounted speedlights mates the flash precisely and predictably to the Parapop softbox.
The unique 12-sided shape and parabolic profile 38 inch diameter by 16.5 inch depth, provides a big 105-degree light spread in a light, space saving package. The shadows are slight and beautifully graduated. Colors are saturated and vibrant without the flat pancake 'flashpan' look of direct strobe. A full and voluptuous light that caresses your subject. Even the highlights and catchlightsare more ap pealing. A light modifier that does not cast divergent or convergent light creating more natural sun-like shadows and fill light. The parabolic reflector shape directs all the light in one controllable direction.
The ultra efficient parabolic reflector has virtually no fall-off from edge to edge. Glow engineers use UV-A and UV-R diffuser materials and are exceptionally heat resistant. The internal silver reflector fabric rivals all other flexible materials, imitating polished lame. Your flashhead, monolight or speedlight, attaches to the speedring assembly and aligns almost all brands of flashes.
GLOW PARAPOP materials and construction are superior. The critical ingredients in any softbox are the internal reflective fabric, the front diffuser/baffle andthe shape of the box. Super strength silvered grid fabric finely line the interior surfaces of the box and add a crisp quality to the output. Light spreadis extremely even, pleasing and contrast balanced. Reinforced support rod pocket, seams and Velcro closures make assembly and setup trouble-free. The highlight /shadow ratio is optimized with a concentrated focus of illumination from the special bowl reflector, reverse umbrella design. There is exceptional light efficiency in this design and the flattering results reveal human form with grace and warmth.
