Performed absolutely as advertised. Intuitive setup, channel and group selection. Screen (crystal) difficult to read at some angles due to installation, but very serviceable. Could not be priced more competitively, and would recommend to anyone looking for economical control of lighting environment.

Attached to flash to communicate with transmitter-used off camera. Handy feature, think of a cheaper pocket wizard system. This is the R1. It's an older model, so only $10. Newer flashes are R2. But, can be used on R2 flash with R1 transmitter. Problems, it's sometimes a tight fit onto flash, so hard to remove. The first one received, the dial stopped in between the numbers. The second, not as bad, but better fit. Adorama did accept an exchange.

Range isn't that great so it will misfire from time to time if you are out of range. Also, you guys should make this as a R2 receiver as well, not just for R1. Then this will be a great receiver for most Alien Bees strobes and a few others.

I love this R1 Flashpoint Commander Transmitter and Receiver. I shoot home interiors for real-estate and this is so nice to change the settings from the camera instead of running back and fourth to change settings on the flash. This unit has nice power and recycles fast and lasts a long time on one charge. I am going to get another one and would recommend this flash to every one including my friends. Very easy to use.

I love everything about my Flashpoint/Godox lighting system EXCEPT the triggering issues I have with the R2 2.4GHz radio system. When I'm having issues with the R2 2.4GHz system I switch to this R1 433MHz trigger system and it never fails me. I use these receivers on the eVOLV 200 and the XPLOR 600 Pro and I know it will fire every time.

I got 2 of these sets because I needed 2 receivers. I had trouble with them from the beginning. After experimenting I found that the all 4 pieces were either defective or maybe the system just has bugs. After having problems on a job, I gave up on them. By then I had started using the R2 system and it works like a dream. The price on these is great but it's not worth the hassle - for a little more cash there are much better systems.

This combo is a bit old school transmitter receiver setup, with dip switches and dials, but the cost for the pair is unbelievably low which makes it easy to get overlook. A very simple system that works effectively. No TTl, don't care, however in order to use HSS I mounted a Cactus V6II on my Pentax K1 the the RF1 transmitter on top, identified the RF1 as a Nikon flash, then pressing the the mode and set buttons together, voila, HSS. I don't often use that feature but it having the ability to access it is a plus.

comes with the flash bu don't use them. Could take them out of the kit and lower the price a bit. Have 4 sets collecting dust unopened

Do not waste your time or money. Works about once every 10th time if you are lucky with D750. This is the third set I have had and have had issues with all. Only reason I keep buying them is because otherwise the flash would be useless.
