After initial use, this appears to be a decent monitor for the price and generally works as stated. The one major exception is the wireless video feature. The image flickers and drops out at times within 5 feet. At 5-10 feet it drops out enough to be terribly annoying and virtually unusable. The listed 100 foot range seems horribly misleading based on my experience.

This big-view monitor screen is an external and large scale high-definition LCD screen that's designed to be used for real-time viewfinder shooing of DSLRs or off-camera viewing when shooting any DSLR or MILC that has an HDMI port.r MILC .The LCD screen on your camera doesn't always provide 100% coverage and even if it does, it's sometimes so small that tiny details in your photographs, especially in the studio, can get lost. This can especially be important when shooting in tight spaces such as in-home studios.
,br> Along comes the Flashpoint LCD8-inch Monitor to the rescue with its 4:3 aspect ratio and 800X600 resolution. The Flashpoint LCD 8" Monitor connects to your camera via an HDMI cable that provided. If your camera does not have an HDMI port, you can use the monitor in wireless mode along with the provided adapter and the video output cable that came in the box with your DSLR.
The monitor includes an AC adapter but if you want to power the monitor without a cable, you'll need a Canon Battery Pack LP-E6 (or Flashpoint equivalent) for the EOS 5D Mark II or 7D. The provided transmitter/adapter requires a Canon NB-4L battery (or equivalent) to make it function and you'll need this even when using monitor powered by AC.
