To cut to the chase, yes, this adapter allows me to use my canon EF and EF-S lenses on Nikon's new mirrorless Z camera bodies AND have full auto-focus capabilities. On my recently purchased z6ii I tried and successfully used my EF 70-200 f4 L IS, EF 100-400 L IS vers. 2, EF 100 L IS macro, and 40 mm f2.8. When focusing from about 8 or more feet away, the focus seems to work comparable to the Nikon s 24-70 f4 kits lens i bought with the Nikon body. I tested these in both single and continuous focusing modes. Where these adapted lenses MAY not perform as well is close up, where the adapted lenses seem to take longer to find and lock on focus. This was the case in particular, with trying the macro lens with up close/macro range subjects. I haven't yet tried the Canon macro with Nikon's automated taking of stacked images (for later focus stacking), so cannot comment on if and how that works. For me, having this adapter means i won't have to pay for expensive long telephotos, which i use only occasionally. I can fall back on the canon lenses i already have. Do note though this adapter does weigh around 300 grams...It feels very solid and well built, but it does add weight to your whole kit when using it.

I recently upgraded from an older model Canon EOS to a Nikon Z6 and plan to purchase the Nikon Z 7ii to have a second camera body. I have a large collection of lenses for the Canon camera that I thought I would have to sell to purchase Nikon lenses for my new cameras. The Fringer adapter for Canon to Nikon Z works perfectly using my old Canon, Sigma and Tamron autofocus lenses on my Z6–saved me lots of money! Thanks Adriana for quick delivery of a great product!

I paired the Fringer Focus Adapter with a Canon lens on a Nikon Z6 body. If you are looking for a combination like the one I used the Fringer for then I can say that you will not disappointed. My Nikon camera was able to ’talk’ to the Canon lens without issue and get all the EXIF info you would want.

I was able to purchase this adapter, a Canon EF-S 17-35mm f/2.8 USM lens and a EF-S 50mm f/1.4 USM lens which are quality lenses, all for less than the Nikkor14-30mm Z mount. Both work with the adapter including auto-focus and they keep improving it with firmware updates. I bought a Z 6 but have been frustrated by the lack of affordable lenses, this solved my problem but it may be even more useful to folks who already own Canon lenses and any Z mount camera body.
