Takes great photos. Holds plenty of photos. Batteries run out very guickly. No off button.. have to let it time out to power off. Still trying to figure out how to keep it on photos and not video.

This company is great. I ordered a GoPro with accessories. When I turned it on, it failed. Called and Was immediately sent a return label and instructions. While waiting on that they immediately shipped me a new GoPro with the accessories with no questions asked. Not only that, but they followed up with questions regarding the new go pro. Video quality is amazing! Very easy to use and rugged. I never used an action cam before... But I think I cannot survive without it now! The video codec is a little aggressive, so post processing is a little slow on my old PC.

I have spent more than the price of the GoPro on cheaper products that have failed, had issues etc. Those products should not have gone to market. GoPro gets it right as does Amazon.

I finally decided to upgrade my old Hero3+ Black after all these years. Until the 5 came out, I didn't really see any reason to invest, and the 6 convinced me. Overall, I'm pleased with the 6. The stabilization works 'well'. I've used a motorized gimbal with my 3+, and didn't expect the built in EIS to be as good. Truly it's not, but the trade off of having to charge and lug that cumbersome gimbal around is worth it. I shoot primarily 2.7k @ 24fps, and sometimes 30fps, in Protune mode then post in Premiere Pro. I took the new 6 out for the first time last weekend, and captured some nice outdoor footage, but I must say I was disappointed in most that I shot indoors. Everything that was shot indoors in low light ended up on the cutting room floor. It was unsalvageable because it was so grainy and muddied. Other indoor footage with decent lighting was better, but only after a lot of enhancing in post, and still not great. I like not having to carry around all those housings that I had to pack with my 3+, and despite other reviews that I've read I thought the battery life of the 6 was comparable to the older GoPros (or at least my 3+). I like the option of the linear video mode over the wide when I don't want the fisheye look, and hope to one day own a computer fast enough to take advantage of the 4k settings. I don't know that my subject matter will ever justify 4k @ 60fps, but it's a nice option. In summary, I give it four stars because of all of the indoor video that I had to trash from my vacation. I realize this is an action cam designed primarily for outdoor capture, but I've read a lot about how GoPro has enhanced low light capture and I'm not seeing it versus my 3+.

I’ve learned that reviews can be as fickle as the consumers who write them. The Hero6 has had its share of fickle, but so far, so good. Two days after receiving my camera, I was off to the Caribbean for 12 days. The Hero6 was a godsend. But what impressed me more was Adorama! They were extremely quick and very detailed in informing me where my package was daily through emails. It was a refreshing overkill that was much appreciated.

I was looking to upgrade my Hero 3 black... I have done business with Adorama many other times.. They definitely had the best price on the Hero 6 and included the remote and a memory card! Can't be beat! The camera has been much improved over the previous generations and the App is also much improved!
