Great compact tripod! Well built.

This is a sturdy compact tripod with a nice range of options for its size. It appears to be well built with almost the everything being metal. I use it for tabletop photography when a larger or full size tripod would be cumbersome. This fits that requirement perfectly and still gives some leeway if you need a little more stability height without going to the big boys.

ok for the price, for wildflower photos close to ground

This weighs 5.1 ounces. I am trying to find a very short sturdy tripod for macro photos of wild flowers. 5.1 oz is a weight that easily goes in a day pack. But I the ball head seems to be too highly polished to hold well. Also the leg settings slip inadvertently. It is still very usable on the lowest leg settings.
