You think it would help, but

This is cool but not as good as you'd think. The screen on the BMPCC is so glossy that the light on your face, the light on your shirt, hands, etc, with this hood, you can see a little bit more, but it gets too much light in at the bottom. I'd be better off with a rectangular piece of cardboard painted black. It is sturdy, I will give it that, but I still had to look at my external monitor to see what was going on. I also thought I could mount the T5 holder to this, but the cable for the T5 that comes with the Tilta rig isn't long enough. Go figure, I returned everything Tilta and got a SmallRig system after less than 1 month.

Tilta makes great accessories for BMPCC 4K. I love the half sunhood. However, I need to mention that it is not easy to have it. You need to wait for a while and there is no ETA from Tilta that when they would be able to fulfill your order.
