I have an S95 which has served me well, and got a refurb'ed S100 as a nice everyday pocket camera. I like the feel better and the slightly better 5x zoom over the previous one. A nice evolutionary step over the S95.

This is my second S100. The first got washed with my hoodie because I forgot it was in the pocket. The perfect "the camera you have". This was bought as an interim camera but I will keep it as a carry around. Solid build. Pretty good ergo. You can get third party grips etc. but it pretty easy to hold and shoot. I use the wrist band so I don't drop it at the beach. Great travel camera. You can just carry around in your pocket. Just don't forget to take it out before wash day. Pictures are great. More than enough control and menu options for 99% of what ever you want to do. Big rich raw files you can PS to death and very nice in camera for the most serious snapper. I have some great street shots that look great at 16x20. At the refurbished price pickup several. Who over 30 needs Wireless.

Received the Canon PowerShot S100 timely and in good condition. I haven't had a chance to really put it to the test but am satisfied with the pictures so far. Not as good of clarify as my Cannon Rebel T5i but didn't expect it to be.

big fan of Nikon slr and dslr. but prefer the outstanding quality of canon compact cameras and also their printers. camera feels substantial prefer the metal casing for looks and durability everything important other then the lens is metal. on my old Nikon l22, a tiny 1/8th of an inch plastic nub keeping the battery nd card door broke off turning the camera into a bookend. I love that it shoots in raw, yhe adjustable lens ring, speed, quality of shots. still learning all the ins and outs of the camera. bought a berts cheat sheet for it. thre only 2 things I do not like is 1) the placement of the flash is right where my left fingers want to go, and 2)lack of a printed manual to throw in the camera bag while I still learn the camera. very pleased, got a super del on a refurbished here at adorama.

Image quality is very good for a small sensor. Full auto, manual, AV, TV, P modes. Great zoom range - 24-120mm (35mm equiv.) Auto ISO, good controls. Easy to always have with you. I replaced my S90, which I loved, and this S100 is improved in every way.

So far, a very well thought out camera for advanced photographers and beginners alike. Since I use a Canon SLR, the user interface was simple and quick. The camera is both compact, lightweight, and apparently robust, with a metal case and good feel. A friend who is a serious rock climber has used the predecessor, the S95, really hard, and it just keeps working. The one serious drawback is the lack of viewfinder, which my old Canon A5XX models had. For those of us tethered to reading glasses for seeing LCDs, this is a real drawback, but one that I've learned to compensate for in exchange for a programmable front ring, a programmable back button, RAW files, customizable settings, and so much more. 4.5 stars, easily.

I use it when I don't want or need to carry my DSLR. Pictures are extraordinary.Small and easy to carry in a pocket. The best point and shoot I have used.

I am happy so far with the camera. Canon has seemed to squeak out some improvments over the S95(my former pocket travel camera). Time will tell if Canon has addressed the "Lens Error" problem prior to shipping these out for sale. I am hoping for longevity since my S95 has held up perfectly.

I already have an S90 for road biking. I bought this refurbished S100 for my wife. Terrific price for many features. Large (in class) sensor and high quality images. I use the S90 to shoot RAW, but my wife shoots jogs. Wider zoom range helps.

Great camera for quick photographs. Creates sharp, crisp images. Very convenient to carry around. Does not have too many controls, so it's great for average users.
