This started to freeze withing the first few weeks I used it. When frozen it would not power off and that battery had to be removed to resolve the issue. On several occasions when the timer was used to take group photos the screen would jump and a pink bar would appear across the lower fifth of the screen. The resulting photos were not at all in focus. I enjoyed this camera the couple days that it worked. I have sent it back and will be receiving a replacement. Fingers crossed that the next camera is not defective.

some problems: tough to see image when sun hits screen; my thumb kept slipping onto movies button, just not designed for larger hands....kit lens works, but inadequate for anything but testing....

This camera takes great pictures, lots of detail and good color. I wanted something a bit more compact that my dslr and this fit the bill. build quality is iffy, so time will tell.

I bought this camera with the intent of taking photos of my artwork. I have some experience with cameras, having been a videographer and long-time hobby photographer, but confess I'm not as up to date as I really need to be for today's digital world. There are things I like and don't like about this camera. I like the white balance function, to better achieve the correct color of my artwork without having to wait until I can open the file in the computer. I like that it has so many ISO options, and that the view screen is pretty large. I don't like the zoom ring, it's not sensitive enough at the outset, and then as you hold it, it suddenly zooms really fast. That's frustrating. I also don't like that the resolution is so low - 72ppi. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd seen that anywhere; I thought the 24mp image size meant a higher ppi, but no. I kept it because the large size files are adequate for print-on-demand, and that's what I wanted right away...unfortunately, I'll have to find another way to get archive-quality files, not an easy thing to do with large paintings. Anyway, like I said, I have mixed feelings, so I can't recommend or not recommend, it just depends on what you want.

Ideal, compact, and adoptable to most situations. I carry it when I don't feel like traveling with my larger camera.

I have always owned Fuji smaller cameras because of the convenience of carrying them when we travel. Then I purchased Fuji S1 and did not like it at all. BUT this little surprise will work out just fine. The X-A5 mirrorless camera is fairly light and the ability to change lenses works out great for travel. We also purchased a telephoto lens for it. I believe it is a Fujifilm XF 55-200mm (83-300mm) F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS Lens. LOVE IT!!!!! LOVE IT!!! Big trip to Italy coming up so that will be the defining moment.. To capture it ALL!!!
