This is a very difficult laptop to maneuver I still haven't figured it out yet and I've had other laptops that weren't this difficult

Glad to replace my old Chromebook which no longer receives system updates. So far my only complaint is that the screen is difficult to read. The type is tiny, low contrast, and a lot of glare if the screen isn't tilted at just the right angle. I'm still fiddling with the settings to improve it.

Initial setup was very easy to perform. Connection to home wifi was fast and simple. Very nice chromebook.

I thought buying a HP directly from source was smart. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my daughter. The chrome book doesn?t boot up. Now I have to wait to send it back. If I bought a No name computer from a store and it didn?t work I could have returned it for a new one in a day. Now I have to wait weeks, and my faith in HP is gone

This is my third HP Chromebook and the second that is active at this time. Because I keep this one in the kitchen and use it for little more than checking emails and occasionally hitting a website, I wanted the simplest, least-expensive option. (The Chromebook in my home office has the touch screen, pen, etc.) The 11a is perfect for the job. Totally satisfied.

Small, lightweight unit, easy to navigate, fast response. Only two disappointments: touch screen easily smudged since it is not a glass screen (could have been but I surmise that it would have added cost), and huge power adapter. Don't fret though: a smaller cell phone power cord will work just fine.

I bought this to help me with work because I needed an additonal laptop, However the screen is not expected. It is a great price but I need to go to the store and pick another one. It's too late to return it but I'd give it away to a remote learning student.

Nice and light. Ideal for the road. A little more brightness on the screen would be nice. In some conditions with many open applications it slows down at times.

All my primary laptop & printer devices are HP. Mainly purchased for my 80 yo husband but I am learning it for now. ABSOLUTELY love the touch screen. The Chromebook I have does not have a cap key but there is a work around and no backlit key board and wish i could have ability to import MS WORD and EXCEL docs I like that it's small 11" lightweight and easy to carry around. I am learning using Google DOC & SHEET. Also using Gmail account on this device .

I purchased this as an alternative to a full fledged laptop. Its smaller but does what I need it to. I can check email, surf the web, watch tv, movies, etc. I haven't tried to use office yet but its not a deal breaker for me.

Repeatedly goes to a black screen. Undependable and worthless for any length of time. Unable to find any resolution with the on line support. Waste of time and money. I have contacted and opened 3 "cases". I would not recommend to a friend or to an enemy.

The #1 reason I made this purchase was that it was so lightweight and easy to travel with. If this is your priority, I recommend it. This is my first time using a chromebook and not a laptop, and while I understood in theory that there would be no programs running per se, everything would happen by app, it is a strange adjustment. Microsoft Suite performs poorly, which is a huge disappointment as I need to use this device to work from home. How do all the school children who get chromebooks get any work done? I got this at a highly discounted clearance rate so I understand this isn't top-of-the-line. I will honestly never understand why companies make tech in funky colors beyond black, white, and steel or silver or whatever. Colorful products, like this blue chromebook, never sell out and have to be liquidated. So, I am at least happy I paid very little for my navy blue chromebook. Clearly Google wants a monopoly on how this device is used. I'm a Firefox user because I value data privacy, but this device makes absolutely certain that ANY other browser besides Chrome crashes, flickers, and never loads.

I bought this new HP Chromebook because I was told of the great improvements. I am yet to see any improvement. In fact it frequently shuts down and won't start up. Maybe I should have spent more but even in a less expensive model, shutting down isn't expected. Very unhappy with it except that it down connect to my HP printer.

My mother bought this for my son for school. She thought touchpad meant touchscreen; it does not, and this does not have a touchscreen. We opened it up this summer so he could use it to work on some school apps through the county for fun. ALL of our public schools have Chromebooks with touchscreens and cameras as of last year. Since my little one is in ES, they use the touchscreen feature often. This Chromebook is now obsolete as far as this educator is concerned. If you are looking to purchase for school, I suggest getting one with a touchscreen as well. Disappointed and can not return. Also note, these computers only last about three years before they have to be replaced or reimaged.

I bought this specifically because it has an Arm processor. I'm really happy with the performance and battery life. The screen is mediocre though. The contrast varies greatly with a small change in the vertical viewing angle. I find myself frequently having to adjust the angle of the screen so that I can better see what is on the screen.
