Great product with one downside. The downside being that Windows Hello face recognition does not work due to the fact that HP cheaped out and did not install an IR type camera. Other than the above good laptop for the price, and a worthy replacement for my G3

I wanted to take some time to use the laptop before leaving a review and I have to say I enjoy using it. The laptop is a good size and the trackpad is easy to use. The only bad part about this laptop is that the charging cable is not USB-C. It?s picky, but I like the ability to charge all of my devices with the same cable

I love the EliteBook 640 from HP. It has a very sleek modern design that is very lightweight and easy to throw in a backpack for quick travel. Wolf Pro security integrated in the system makes it extremely safe and secure to manage anything I see fit. 16gb of memory imbedded is perfect for the performance I need on a daily basis. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a new notebook!

I received a few days ago the HP EliteBook 640 14 inch G9 Notebook PC and it is now my go to laptop. I like the 14 inches screen size, for me, it is the perfect size, not too big to easily carry the laptop around and not too small to actually open several windows and get some work done. The performances are also great, it comes with Intel I5 CPU, 16GB of RAM and 512 GB Hard Disk Drive. These specifications allow most of the usage. It comes with windows 10 but after few upgrades it will install windows 11. The battery life is OK, it is hard to really gauge because it depends so much on the usage but it last almost a day without charging. Concerning security I like that the laptop uses a fingerprint sensor. No risk to give the password by mistake. I also like the data encryption. The screen resolution and quality are also nice. Of course you can connect other displays via cables but also via wireless!!! It turns out the sound is not bad, I was surprised by the quality but of course you cannot expect high sound quality from a laptop. In summary, I like this laptop, the ratio price, performance, ergonomic is very satisfying.

We use the HP EliteBook 640 G9 Notebook for light duty internet browsing, watching videos and document management. It has the latest Core I-5 processor with 16 GB of RAM, which provides for quick response times. I wouldn't call it a gaming laptop, but the graphics processor can handle HDR 4K video playback at 60 FPS without breaking a sweat. This Notebook also comes with Wolf Pro Security for added protection. Other features I like are the integrated video camera, raised & backlit keyboard, finger print scanner and it is light weight for easy travel. HP was also generous with the connectivity and provided 3 USB ports, 1 ThunderBolt USB4 port and an HDMI port that I use to connect an external monitor. Overall, I recommend this notebook for general purpose computing needs.

This is one of the coolest computers in the last 10 years. The built-in Wolfe security system is excellent. I would highly recommend this computer to anyone go in college. This is going to be a great computer for the next couple years.

This HPElitebook 640 is an awesome laptop for personal use. The laptop is extremely light and compact which makes it great for travel. I love how fast the computer is as well compared to other laptops that I?ve had. I will definetely purchase this laptop again and reccomend for anyone looking for a smaller compact fast laptop.

Finally made the transition back to a Windows operating system. Setup of the HP EliteBook 640 Notebook PC Wolf Pro Security Edition was very easy, and having the Wolf Pro Security puts my mind at ease. ? I love the fingerprint sensor, and the privacy feature on the camera, though the video can be a bit better. I am currently using this for my crafting programs, and with 512 GB SSD storage, I have had more than enough room for my files. The processor in this laptop is an Intel Core i5, and so far all my programs have loaded quickly, and ran flawlessly. The keyboard is not only backlit, but it is also spill resistant, which I really appreciate. ??This notebook is a great size, and lightweight, especially if you are always on the go. It?s fantastic for any business needs, whether you are running office programs, or just using it to hop online for some research. If you are looking for a gaming notebook, I would choose one with a dedicated GPU. .

The HP EliteBook 640 G9 14 inch G9 notebook with Wolf Pro Security really checked all the boxes for me. Not only does it have a great balance of weight and durability, but it also feels solidly constructed without feeling bulky. The setup was super simple, even for someone who isn?t the most tech savvy like myself. It boots up quickly and loads programs, videos and websites without any noticeable lag whatsoever. The incorporation of the Wolf Pro Security has helped ease my mind, particularly as I use this laptop mainly for work purposes. The camera quality could be improved, but I really love the placement of it as many others have cameras located on the bottom rather than the top of the screen. The camera placement of this laptop makes angles of Zoom calls more aesthetically pleasing. I?ve been able to continuously work for 6+ hours each day without having to plug in or charge the battery, which is also a welcomed benefit. I highly recommend for those in the market for a new laptop, particularly those working from home in need of a new professional, secure, business-focused option.

This EliteBook has a great balance of size that is great for work and play wherever you happen to be while the backlit keyboard is great for low-light conditions. The EliteBook is lightweight but still feels solid and well constructed. It boots up fast and loads all my programs and apps flawlessly. The built in Wolf security is well integrated while not being intrusive and the EliteBook is easily end-user serviceable so upgrading is effortless.

Setup was quick and simple. Installing the latest version of Windows was fast and easy. The computer loads videos and programs almost immediately with no lag whatsoever. Websites load instantly. Battery life is about 5-6 hours before having to recharge, and charging takes around an hour. This computer is perfect for everyday use! Love it!

This is a nice laptop for travel work. I really like how it's nice and light and also has an integrated smart card reader (I'm military so it's nice to not have to carry around a USB CAC reader). I also like that it has a thunderbolt USB-C port so it can be docked at home to our nice monitor and other peripherals with a single plug. I would not recommend this laptop for gaming as it only has integrated Iris graphics and no additional NVidia or AMD graphics card. However, that was never the intent of this machine and it serves its work purpose beautifully.

The HP EliteBook 640 G9 Notebook is a very sleek, good looking notebook. It is lightweight but is very sturdily built. The size is perfect, just compact enough but not so much you can't see the screen, in fact the screen size is great. The keyboard is ultra smooth as well as the glide pad and the backlit keyboard is such a great feature. Setting up this notebook was smooth as silk, very simple and quick. I was up and running in no time. The notebook is very quick and the screen resolution is gorgeous. The possibilities are endless as far as capabilities. I look forward to using my notebook for multiple uses, photography, internet usage, videos, and creative programs. I highly recommend this notebook and look forward to enjoying it.

This is 100% the best laptop I have ever owned. I am so impressed with all of its features. The fingerprint log in is one of my absolute favorite features. Something that small really makes a huge difference in the user experience and provides the best security. Add on the wolf pro security and this is one super secure laptop which keeps my mind at ease. I love the speakers, It is the best place to play my music on, these speakers rock! Love the Intel® processor. It is an overall incredible computer. It is by far the best I have ever owned, I am enjoying every second that I am using it.

Unboxing is so exciting! This laptop sets up so smoothly and has a beautiful backlit keyboard. You're prompted through each and every step in the set up process so you can get to actually USING the laptop as quickly as possible. There's a fingerprint scan as well which is was a nice surprise. Logging into google accounts is quick and easy. I can't say enough about how wonderful and user friendly this laptop is.

This laptop is great for regular functions like browsing the web, streaming videos, and word processing. Basically, anything a regular person or employee might need to do, it handles well. I wish the construction was a bit more sleek, but for the amount of outlets you get, I'm ok with the size. It actually feels like it's bigger than a 14", without being too heavy. I appreciate that the screen can fold 180, so even if I'm lounging on the couch I can make the screen a comfortable angle. The keys have a great bounce, and I think the large print on them is a great accessibility feature. It was easy to set up, and the added security makes for peace of mind. The battery life is ok, it won't last a whole work day, but you don't need it constantly plugged in either. It does get pretty hot while using it, and even hotter while plugged in. A big plus is having its own charging port as well as a lightning port, so you have multiple options for charging. As far as using it for entertainment, the speakers can get pretty loud, but it can sound a little tinny. My biggest issue is the screen. It has a nice range of brightness, but the color is so washed out and dull. I wouldn't ever attempt to do any sort of graphic design or photo editing work on it simply because the color is so flat. If you don't need that for work, or aren't using this for entertainment, it's easy enough to get past, but it really is a bummer on an otherwise solid laptop.

My previous personal computer was an Hp Cromebook, sufficient but not on the level as this Hp Elitebook with Wolf Pro Security. I do have to say the one option i miss is the touchscreen but have been adjusting. Super user friendly, turns on quick, the screen is great. Its fast, windows 10 is a beast. I've used it for word, gaming and personal use and it exceeded my expectations. It boots up super-fast. I am no computer wiz but i use them for work and play and this laptop is perfect!

The single most important computer in the house is my wife's laptop. All finance handling, trip planning, family scheduling, and on-line shopping happen on that device and it is old, slow, and infuriating. Hats off to it lasting 6 years, but it was time for an upgrade. It uses a lot of processing power to accurately simulate the physics of different objects. I loaded up a bunch of marbles and blocks, gave them a shake, and threw them across a simulated table and it was really impressive how smoothly and accurately everything moved even compared to my gaming machines. The is an excellent laptop and it deserves the 5 star rating. Great job, HP!

Loving the HP EliteBook so far! The set-up when it arrived was easy to follow and although it took a bit for all the updates, once those were done, I've had no issues. Starts up quick, process speed is awesome, and graphics are crisp! I love how lightweight it is, but also has the 14" screen so I don't struggle to see what I'm working on. The trackpad is nice and smooth and I like all the different settings you can do to personalize the notebook for all your preferences.

Build quality is superb here. Laptop feels light in the hand but you can tell it's good quality materials. Port selection is fantastic including a Thunderbolt (USB-C) port, HDMI, three USB 3 ports (two on right one left), headphone jack, and a smart card reader. My unit came with 16GB DDR4 and a 512 m.2 NVME drive. Both of which are easy to upgrade. The camera is OK quality (remember, this is a business laptop) so 720p there is more than enough. The single surface trackpad works well and feels very responsive. Fingerprint scanner works as intended. Software wise this machine shines. I decided to forego the free and optional Windows 11 upgrade. However, you can try W11 for 10 days and move back if it isnt right for you. I appreciate HP loading Windows 10 and letting me make that choice. The CPU that drives it all is the 12th gen 1235U and is an i5 (10c / 12t) that only pulls around 60w at its max. Remember, only performance cores has multithreading. Which is why the C/T count is a little different compared to previous generations. This is an excellent business class machine that can also easily double as an everyday driver. If you decide to crack this thing open to upgrade make sure to note that the screws on the back of the case (attached pictures) do NOT come all the way out. Just back them out till they stop. Please see pictures included to see what the inside looks like. Five screws give you access to everything. Both memory modules, WIFI card, bootdrive, and an additional free m.2 slot.

I have been using the laptop for about a week now and couldn't be happier. It comes with HP Wolf securtiy already install so I am safe while using my computer. It is also easy to use and light weight when sitting on my lap. It also has the latest intel processor and the speakers are crystal clear. I needed an upgrade to my old laptop that had gotten slow and obsolete. Wow! Computers have come a long way in the last couple of years. This laptop is lightweight, sleek and so fast! It has plenty of storage and RAM, and I can?t wait to see what it can do for me. So far, I?m very impressed. The startup speed is quick, it saves files quickly and loads websites very quickly also.
