The Easy part is the installation and printing, I just spent one hour assembling the base, once connected pressed control + P and that's it... awesome! The Beauty is the performance this machine offers to my shop; everybody is looking on it adding a lot of prestige and rising the level of my business. Excellent because I know the quality of HP products long time ago and they not disappointed me, the printing quality is the best that a machine with this features can offer. The only thing that I don't like to much is the expensive supplies for it but can be solved easily, this machine worths every cent.

I was really excited to buy this for my design printing business for both tradeshow media and in house design printing. Being a "Photo Printer" I was expecting the Z2100 44 inch to really impress me and have accurate coloring and good quality prints. I was left completely dissatisfied after taking the four hours to assemble and set-up the printer when I noticed not one print was true to color. The ink and paper(s) are expensive to test over and over again to get colors 'right' and after literally months of working back and forth I was left with a paperweight as my customers will not pay for poor prints. I would not recommend this printer to any company thinking to purchase this for monetary gains as a simple $50.00 printer gives you better coloring. This would only be appropriate for schools and locations that do not really care about the print quality.

The Z2100 is a great printer, with a tremendous amount of bang for a very modest buck. This is a must consider for anyone looking for a large format printer. The print quality is very high and it prints on a great variety of media. So far I've tried it on HP's photo paper, HP/Dupont banner paper, Kodak adhesive film, non-HP banner paper, the non-photo HP paper that it ships with, and some cheap roll paper from Office Depot. The print quality on all of those materials was exceptional. I ordered on the HP website and paid via Paypal, the printer arrived at my home via FedEx Freight within three business days, the only regret there was that FedEx Freight drivers "don't do stairs", so the driver left the printer on the pallet outside my front door. No problem, as my wife and I were able to bring it inside (up the stairs), using only a hand truck. Assembly was moderately complex and took about an hour; however, the instructions provided from HP were superb. My greatest regret with this printer is that I did not purchase an extra spindle, which makes it hard to change from one type of paper to another. I've since purchased another spindle (available on the HP website for about $65). My only other regret is that it doesn't accomodate slightly larger media -- I would prefer 50'', but 44'' is exceptional for this price. Also, be aware, the ink that ships with the printer are 70 ml cartridges; however, the standard refill available from HP is a 130 ml cartridge.

I traded my HP Designjet 500 in on the Z2100 24" Designjet and am pleased beyond expectations. The colors are pure and vibrant. The printing is fast and complete. Changing and installing new canvas rolls is quick and simple. For my purpose which is canvas art, the machine is perfect. Although the printer is large and bulky, its dependability overshadows any size drawback. I highly recommend the Z2199 for superior performance.
