Questions & Answers

Shopper : Is it new or refurbished?Thomas L : NewPETER R : NewFRANCIS C : Hi, my card was brand new. But I bought it three years ago. Usually Adorama will clearly mark if merchandise is refurbished. If in question, call them directly to confirm. Cheers!ASHI F : This is new
Shopper : Is this fast enough for a d800? , some slower cards get stuck while writing to the cardEDWARD P : Using on a Sony HDV video camcorder -- High definition video, no dropped frames. Also used on Nikon D700, good results.Thomas L : Bet it would works great with a canon 40d in sport modrWILLIAM C : I have used this card very successfully with a D800. RONALD P : I would go for the faster card as this one hangs up in the burst mode. Thanks Ron pDAVID L : Absolutely! I have had no problems with this card in the Ch mode when bracketing for HDR photographs using my Nikon D800. You might want to consider geting two 32GB 800x cards instead of the 64GB. In my mind, it's just a safety factor to have two of these for general, portrait, and travel photography.ERIC W : Your limitation will be the camera itself and how fast it can write to the card. I know a Canon 7D will write to a CF card at about 50-55mbps. The card is capable of writing at a much higher rate so my bottleneck is the camera, not the card. This should also be the same with your d800. 800x ~= 120mbpsJEFF C : I have a D800 also. It works fine for family pics. I would not use it for applications that require multiple shots in a burst mode.ARNEL G : I have not used an 800x Lexar on a D800, though this might help you in your decision. I used a 32GB 800x UDMA7 and a 16GB 600x UDMA only on a 5D Mk III, set at ALL-I (low video compression, large files) and both performed well. The Mark III, did not indicate any warning of slow writing, which it should when the card is slow.HARI R : I have the 32 gb and shoot on a d800 on raw. Havent had any slowdown with this compared to 1000x cards

Highly recommended

These are the first Hi capacity compact flash cards from Lexar I purchased. I owned several cards from other brands but up to 16GB only. This (Lexar 64GB Pro 800x) is made in China and shipped in a nice package. Insert to my Canon 5D II and it works flawlessly. This flash card also includes a downloadable software Image Rescue. So far, no problem yet so I don't use it. Highly recommended for its prices and its performance .

Amazing progress in tech!

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, and at incredible value. My first DSLR (Nikon D100) took a 512MB CF card for ($), back in the day!

Good for Video

This is a fast CF flash. I used it over the weekend, and had no problems whatsoever. I was able to record video with ease. I would definitely purchase this again.

Great CF Cards

I have been using the same four copies of Lexar 800x UDMA7 16 GB Compact Flash Cards for 4-years now and they have worked outstandingly all the while. I needed some extra memory and purchased the 32 GB cards which are working just fine. I can really notice the difference between these and slower, non-UDMA, cards when shooting with my Canon 7D cameras. They are faster in writing and also, when using a Lexar USB 3.0 UDMA capable reader - faster in writing to the computer. I have the reader connected to my computer via a USB 2.0 port. I would expect that if I were to utilize a USB 3.0 port, that the transfer speed would be even faster.

Good and bad

I have a few of these cards, one lasted one shooting then just quit working. I also shot a wedding and used them, It recorded it all as I went along but all the images were gone after I finished. That is two cards that did not work. The ones that do work are great, fast and so far reliable.

Great Trust

When shopping for a set of CF cards I ran across many "great deals". Most are direct imports from China and if you read into them the seller has many complaints about selling counterfeits. To ease my fears I chose and will always choose Adorama for my photography gear. I know if I ever have an issue with anything I purchase from Adorama I will be taken care of fairly and quickly.

Will follow up with my satisfaction as I use it more frequently over the next several months.

My new Lexar 800X compact flash media appears to be working AOK on my Nikon D800E RAW file image making although I have only had it for less than a week and taken few images to date other than testing it. Will follow up with my satisfaction as I use it more frequently over the next several months.

Solid Gear for Most Situations

Not the fastest nor largest capacity CF card, none the less, this Lexar 32GB card works very well for most routine uses. If you are using the Canon 5Ds or 5DSr, you'll probably want a larger card. Or in those situations where your 1DX is going at 12 FPS, this card will not be fast enough. Or shooting lots of HD video. For the rest of us, this card represents excellent value and strong, reliable performance.

GREAT BUY/GREAT PRODUCT

Even though sensor size has dramatically increased in recent years, I am a firm believer in using smaller memory cards in order to limit capture loss in the case of physical loss. No matter how careful one is, memory cards ARE small, and can be either temporarily misplaced OR permanently lost. So, when this sale was on, I purchased several more in this size to add to my "collection". In fact, I almost wished that I purchased more at the time.

I have been using these for a long time

I have been using this product for years. They hold a lot of pictures and are dependable. I am glad the price is coming down, that is always nice. I was in Estes Park, Colorado for a week of shooting. They worked great. when you go to the expense of traveling like that with lodging a great workshop and all you want dependability.

I purchased this product for timelapse photography - to have a card that would fit an extended shoot. I love it, and have had good success with the Lexar products.

Happy Lexar customer

Good price and speed. Takes a beating and keeps working. Great service replacing the occasional card that goes bad too. Not eager to go much larger (this holds 200 Nikon D800 RAW images) to keep things moving quickly when importing a shoot.

Good Buy

Attended several events last week, and it covered a good number of them. Probably don't want to put all the eggs in one basket, but if you don't have time to change cards, this one is great. Used with D700.

Great Deal

I just bought a Canon 5d II and was in need of a CompactFlash Card. I never used Lexar before but Adorama had a special. I'm glad I took the chance. The card is very sturdy and very fast to upload. I would not hesitate to buy this brand over Sandisk. At this time I do not have anything negative to say about this brand or their CompactFlash card.
