is a pretty big sized grip.did not realize it was as big as it is.not uncomfortable just looked a bit smaller in photos.still love the heck out of it.VERY useful for portrait shots.and with two batteries camera works faster.

The refurbished battery grip is as new as a new version for a lot better price. The Nikon grips just fit better than the third party options. Be aware the refurbished version does not come with the holder for the AA batteries. Not a big deal because I would not use this item. If you need one it is a $39 add on.

The Nikon MB-D15 is equipped with a shutter-release button, AAE/AF lock button, multi selector, and main- and sub-command dials for improved operation when taking photographs with the camera vertically oriented.
The MB-D15 Multi-Power Battery Pack can be powered either by six AA batteries (Alkaline or Ni-MH or Lithium), or EN-EL 15 rechargeable Li-ion batteries. To use the MB-D15 with AA batteries, use the MS-D14 AA Battery Holder (Not included). When using EN-EL15 batteries to power the MB-D14, use the MS-D14EN Battery Holder.
