Takes Great picts up to ISO 800.

Panosonic needs to hire an english speaking photographer to write all of their camera Instruction Manuals. The menu Descriptions are extremely difficult to understand. Their web pages are not much better. Customer support appears non- existent.

Fun. easy to use, very versitle

I own a Lumix G1 and Gf3. This camera is similiar to the GF3 with a hot shoe. It's slightly larger than the GF3. I love all these cameras. The touch screen makes it easy to access all the menus. I gotten some great macro shots of my indoor plants and have used the video to film my golf swing for analyzing. The video is much clearer than my 3 year old sony mini dv. This camera is great.

Love this camera!

I was wanting to upgrade from a point and shoot, and didn't want the bulk of a DSLR. The images are fantastic! Still learning the settings, but have already got some great shots, both with still subjects and moving subjects. The zoom that comes with the camera (14mm-42mm) doesn't zoom as much as I thought it would, gonna have to get a zoom lens. I got the external viewfinder, and really like having that option.

Fast AF, Nice size, worth it

Overall, compared to many other micro 4/3rds DSLRs, this is the best value. It's got a nice body, out-of-the-box sharp lens, fast AF, manual controls, a variety of lenses available for purchasing (albeit, with an adapter), and a good image sensor. I definitely would *not* recommend this camera for night photography without the flash--even at ISO200, photo noise is very visible. One thing interesting about the camera is the 60 second exposure timer; not really sure the point of it. Still is a cool thing to have though. The kit lens is lacking a little bit in the zoom range, but coming from an 18-55, it's not bad. Battery life is good, I was able to shoot video for five minutes and around 200 photos, without losing 1/3rd battery. One note, though. Coming from a DSLR (FULL-SIZE, Nikon D5000), I can say, I dearly miss my viewfinder. It was just a huge convenience to have, and made photo taking quite a bit easier. I've slowly become better at using the 3" touchscreen LCD (which is clearer/brighter than the D5k), but it's still a big jump. I'd suggest seeing the camera in person before purchasing. And get a WORKING UNIT. You need to see if you can tolerate not having a viewfinder. And yes, there is an available EVF (electronic viewfinder), but it's supposedly (i don't know if this is true or not) not worth the $120, nor is it even great quality. Aside from a few flaws related to the missing VF, and photo noise in dark shots, I love my GF2, and wouldn't trade it for another micro DSLR. Though, if picking between this and a full sized DSLR, full-sized is worth it.

Nice Lil Baby

Great Price for a Good lil camera. I do what I can with her. The best camera in the world is the one you got in yer hand. Thats the truth. Its all up to the eye. But this one has her own sense of style. Grabs the shot well and I feel comfortable with iAuto feature doing all the work. Looks good.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 Mirrorless Digital Camera W/14mm Lens (Black) is 19% smaller and 7% lighter than its immediate predecessor, but still has a 12.1MP Live MOS sensor, a lightweight 14mm f/2.5 (equivalent to 28mm) wide-angle lens with a seven-blade aperture, dazzling 1920 x 1080 HD video and is compatible with the full range of Micro Four Thirds lenses (including Panasonic's 3D 12.5mm f/12 lens)--in short, the speed and customization of an SLR camera in highly portable form.

A bright 3" 460,000-dot LCD display for composition and review can also be used as a touch-screen for making and changing settings like focus and exposure--a touch on a human face, for instance, switches to the portrait mode and a touch on the background or scenery switches to the scenery mode, while a touch on the subject close to the camera switches to the close-up mode.

Despite its tiny size, the GF2 is packed with photo and video goodies. The My Color mode offers 7 preset imaging effects (such as Retro, Elegant, Cinema, Monochrome, Silhouette, etc.) and also allows users to customize color, brightness and saturation on the fly. The LUMIX GF2 can record 1920 x 1080 videos at 60i or smooth HD 1280 x 720 movies at 60p in AVCHD. For those looking for better compatibility with computers, the LUMIX GF2 can also record HD Motion JPEG in 1280 x 720 and QVGA, VGA and WVGA. The body supports autofocus during video recording and Movie Program Mode allows for selective depth-of-field control. Additional features of the DMC-GF2 include a built-in pop-up flash, contrast detection autofocus, integrated dust reduction technology and high ISO 6400 sensitivity.
