This adapter works as indented. There is no play on either end of the adapter and the matte-black finish maintains the black aesthetic of the EOS R and various F-mount Nikkors I use. When not in use, the Kipon adapter can be stored in the hard plastic case it shipped with.
Perfect for Nikon F lens to Canon RP
If you need a reliable adapter for using old Nikon lenses on a Canon RP or R, buy this. It mounts smoothly and snugly on the camera and the button on the side is easy to use. Infinity focus is almost perfect. I tried a manual Nikon 50mm lens and got sharp results well beyond 20 meters. I also tried a vintage 35mm lens that had been modified to Nikon mount. This was slightly soft on the horizon, but still pleasant to the eye. This adapter won't work for Nikon G lenses and you won't get autofoc...

The KIPON KP-LA-EOSR-NKF adapter mounts Nikon F mount Series lenses on Canon EOS R Mount camera bodies. Please note that after mounting the adapter only manual focus will be accessible when shooting. There is a inner ring on the adapter which presses against the pin on the lens to allow the lens to control the aperture. Please note that lenses with extra long pins can not be mounted with this adapter.
