For strength, stability, and flexibility
For strength, stability, and flexibility in positioning high magnification scopes like Leupold's VX-5 and VX-6 HDs for ideal eye relief, I'm yet to find a better combination than the Leupold Cross-Slot two-piece bases and Backcountry Cross-Slot Rings.

Have had a couple of sets so far and have been really impressed with the ease of installation, no need whatsoever to lap the rings at all(I did it anyway because it makes me feel better about the mounting job) had perfect ring alignment right out of the package. Holds scopes securely. Expensive but worth it. Why go cheap on the most important connection on your firearm? Great products from Leupold just like always. Will buy again.
