Pros: - Extremely lightweight, thin. - Boots quickly. - Fingerprint login works perfectly. - Great screen (but see below). - Nice keyboard. - Battery life is amazing. I charge it up Sunday evening and can use it for quite a number of hours all through the week. - It's upgradeable; yes, both RAM and the SSD may be upgraded. Cons: - microSD slot? Really? Which digital camera uses one of those? Should have been a standard SDXC slot as there's plenty of room for it. - Touchpad uses Microsoft's "Precision Driver" which, frankly, is anything but precise. I found a few suggestions to alter the registry and now it works like a Mac touchpad (inertia, speed, etc.). That's Microsoft's fault. The hardware is first-rate. - The excellent screen has good, but not great, backlighting. It's okay in open shade and anywhere indoors but it's not like a Mac. That being said, I'm not dissatisfied. I've owned this long enough to know that whatever its faults, it's better than most every other 13" notebook anywhere close to its price. II truly do like it and am happy with it.

Bought this laptop from Costco in Aug-2018, really liked the device, nice display, lightweight, good performance. Just before the one year warranty expired the display developed a problem. Contacted LG service, set the unit in and was told the repair would be $500 becuase it was not covered. We did not drop, or drop something on the laptop, so not sure what caused the problem. Unfortunate that the device only lasted a year, and then Iwas asked to spend more than half the price I paid new to repair something that I don't think I was responsible for.

great computer. have had about a year and have not been dissapointed, only that it has tablet mode but does not bend to function as a tablet, so really what's the point???

I bought it a few months ago and I loved the performance and the quality of the image as well as its speed and lightness, it is a beast for games, I recommend it.

Just bought this a few weeks ago. Super-light, has a good feel. Getting about 8 hours on the battery, though mostly I leave it plugged in. LG has an optional feature that caps charging at 80% to lengthen battery life.

If you want to show of the inside of your nose, go for it. For all the features, I can find them in any other competitive laptop with a usable web cam. Buyer Beware!

I just bought this laptop a few weeks ago. I've done my research and compared with other brands. I was hesitant at first because I've never used an LG laptop before but to my amazement, this little laptop has surpassed my expectations. It is powerful, very convenient and light and fast not to mention a very reasonable price. I love it and woulnd't want any other brand of laptop anymore. Thank you LG!

I had been waiting on LG to release this Core i7 8th gen for 3 months after Intel announced the chip on September 2017. Now in CES2018, Intel just comes up with a new combination Intel Core Proccessor and AMD Graphic Vega M makes me want to wait for more longer but I hope LG will redesign the speakers up and set them aside with keyboard, as well as the new HD camera on top as usual. If not, even if it is the lightest laptop with upgradable Ram, I just have to choose other products for better experience. I already got the 2017 model with Intel Core 7th gen. This new CPU upgrade is boring.

Absolutely great, specially on two things: weight and battery life. I'm used to ipads, MBAs, and macs in general. It is lighter than even the 11" Airs, ipads with Bluetooth keyboards. Yes, you do get over 16 hours, of course I only had music playing while typing with email and a few other things in the background. Amazing!!! Works for me.

I am not sure why this lightweight laptop computer has had less than glowing reviews. There is some that talk of the lid (screen flexing - well on a laptop this thin, I expect some flexing. I have tried one that when you press on back it shows through on screen. If you want a cast iron laptop, please buy one. Screen and color on this are good. I find the 2 level backlit key board easy to see, and comfortable to use. Trackpad works well, and have had no issues with scrolling, clicking etc. Load times are great. Battery life is excellent. I compared this against another brand "gaming" laptop with similar processor, ram, AND with addition of a 4 GB dedicated graphics card - and was surprised to find load time, boot time, and program accessing time, all to be faster on the LG Gram. I also have run some older - but still graphic intensive games - on the Gram, and it has performed flawlessly. And, it is remakable how light weight this computer really is. Despite the light weight, I find it to be a great performing laptop with great screen, light, easily portable, with great battery life. I do think it is a bit pricey - along with many laptops today - but seems to give good value in this price range of computers.

Was curious, it was returnable, but love it and kept it. Weight is remarkable, solid, not a blemish through 7+ months of constant travel, beautiful screen color, perfect touch response, track pad, microphone, finger reader. Rarely use the mouse with it. Much faster than expected. Battery lasts all day at a normal brightness. Rarely worry about it any more. Runs cool even under load. LG software is unobtrusive and seems very well done. I wanted a top line travel laptop or tablet. Preferred laptop form factor. Cost was not an issue, but after working with this model for a month, there was nothing to criticize or upgrade for.

I bought this for an ultralight computer and recieved a quick, powerful and long lasting device for my needs. I surf the Web, watch videos and use it for research on my motorcycle hobby. It's construction, fit and finish are also excellent. It's software,Windows 10 and LG, all work very well. I am totally satisfied. Not one nitpick! I actually came across this by chance when I noticed a picture of someone balancing one on three fingers, while looking for a 13 inch laptop. Glad I clicked on that ad.

The reason that I bought this laptop because it is light. I really like this laptop because it is so light to carry around. The weight is incomparable with other brands with the same screen size of 13 inches. However, your keyboard is not well designed. it is too flat and not smooth to type. It is junky too. The size is bigger than the regular laptop keyboard. It is hard to do fast typing. Hope you will continue improving and give customers a trade-in opportunity when you have a upgrade for this model.

Screen simply died after 4 months, LG would not warranty it because they said screen had a crack. There was no crack and no trauma to laptop when we mailed them the laptop in their own packaging material.
