The rating is reduced by one star only because it has a problem with the screen turning black while the sound continued. After following the diagnostic process in support, I had to call and get an authorized service center in my area for an in depth evaluation. I'm waiting for their call back and repair or not decision.

Purchased this TV in Dec 2014. It was a great TV with an excellent picture and feature set. Unfortunately the back lights started failing in Feb causing the picture to go dark with sound still working. Not sure whether this is a weakness of this model or just bad luck after just over 2 years of good operation. I miss my TV! It was a 55LA6230-TB

Purchased TV is Dec 2013. Shows excellent but within 6 months had problem with it just shutting off. No problem under original warranty. Cable defect. Quick in home repair. Just recently Oct 2015 TV went dark but could hear the tv program clearly. Thankfully I had an extended warranty. Panel diagnosed and bad and to costly to replace. Original purchase price refunded.

I had written a previous comment giving 1 star rating to this tv by lg, i was very disappointed that after a year my screen started turning white, to my surprise, it wasn't the tv. i had purchased an air purifier from honeywell at best buy, i kept it on most of the time next to the tv, so apparently that was what was causing the tv, i returned the purifier and never had a problem with my tv again, suprisingly that was the problem, Lg is still to me a great company and i apoligize for the negative comment. After this i purchased another 55" tv and the infinim headphones, which work great.

This is above and beyond the best TV I've owned to date. Love the smart tv feature. It is incredibly easy to use especially if you get the magic remote. That is really the only complaint is that the magic remote should be included with the tv. I purchased that separate but it was well worth it!

We bought this TV after living overseas for many years. It was easy to use and set up with the cable provider. We had some initial issues with using streaming services like Amazon via the TV itself. The solution was adding a SONY DVD player with its own internet connection.

I'm glad the warranty is still in effect for this TV. I love everything about it except that in less than a year we are having to replace the LCD Inverter Board (which is the circuit board supplying power to the backlight creating the picture. I was being the Sunday evening couch potato, binge watching one of my favorites....suddenly, nothing but volume and a black screen. Now, I have to go through the "get it fixed" process which is already a pain....and I haven't got started yet. UGH!!

The TV itself is is a beautiful/handsome show off piece for the Living Room. Silver trim and stand which is the most rugged/secure stand I have every seen that comes standard with the Smart TV. The picture quality is awesome and the Smart Remote is a piece of cake to use. The applications, Wireless Internet and software updates are a breeze to use and setup was simple. I give this 60" CLASS 1080P 120HZ LED TV WITH SMART TV (DIAGONAL 59.5" a perfect 10. Love it.....

Great picture, excellent features, user-friendly controls. The only improvement I would want is to have the code for the remote functions to be listed in the manual so that I would not have needed to try dozens of codes to get my cable remote to control on-off AND sound on the TV.

Definitely recommend getting this tv. Great picture quality, easy to use apps and quick setup. No lagging or freezing when using apps or smartshare. I love using the wifi direct and also the remote control apps found in the android play store. Overall i am 100% satisfied.

The product has an excellent picture quality and the ability exists to modify the picture to individual preferences. Accessing the internet is very easy. A lot of options and capabilities for tech types. The 2-D, 3-D option for viewing is easy to use, and picture quality is also very good. I have no problem in recommending the product. The only problem I have encountered involves the magic remote. The rubber on the wheel becomes lose and control of the wheel becomes difficult. Otherwise, the magic remote is convenient.

I'm happy with this tv most of the time. We have a very light room, and during certain times of day it is difficult to watch because the tv doesn't get bright enough. Additionally, black levels aren't great - most blacks look grey unless it is a very dark scene. Smart tv options and fully customizable color are fantastic.

I rated the product as Good in all categories other than Value which I rated as excellent, because quite frankly for the cost, it really is a good...not excellent... product. The picture quality is good, although I still prefer my plasma television's picture quality. I found the picture and sound adjustment features too confusing for me. The sound is terrible, so go into this purchase knowing that you are going to have to already have or will have to purchase a sound system to go with it. I love the "smart" features. The amount of HDMI and USB inputs are sufficient for the average user. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, especially for the purchase price. Consumer Reports rated it as a Best Buy.
