I’ve had this TV for about 4 years now. The picture quality is better than any of the other 5 TVs I have in my house (including newer, more expensive LG model and Samsung. The sound is less than stellar, though. I would highly recommend a soundbar with this TV. I also do NOT like that there is no Hulu app on any LG smart tv. Come on LG?? Otherwise, the TV is great!

Finally got the model i wanted! The picture is chrystal clear, like you can reach out and touch whatever is on the other side. WiFi built in, so easy access to use LG content at the touch of a button. Surf the web, listen to and watch videos on youtube, get weather updated, see my google photos right on my tv; I'll never get bored again. Can't be more pleased, no one will be hearing me complain anytime soon, thanks LG.

I've owned this TV for about 30 months and I am only fairly satisfied with it. While the regular HD picture is very clear and the 3D is excellent as well, the sound and internet capabilities of it have left me a very disappointed if I'm to be honest. I like a nice rich bass response when listening to music programs or soundtracks in movies, but also clarity when someone is speaking, neither of these is very good without my surround sound system on. I've tried every setting and mode that this set has for sound, and nothing is all that good without an outside sound system. If I watch a program with the surround off, I always end up turning on the closed captioning or putting on headphones so I can understand everything that is being said, and no, I do not have a hearing problem at all, the tv just does not have a good sound system in my opinion. The internet feature is also lacking in that it is very slow and not user friendly. We have high speed internet and a very strong wireless signal in our home that every computer, smartphone and tablet works flawlessly with and with great speed, the exception being this tv. If I connect a laptop to the tv and use the tv as a monitor it works fairly well, but using the built in browser and internet capabilities is like pulling teeth, slow and painful. In fact, you cannot even watch movies from services like streampix because they require updated browsers which you cannot download to this tv in any way, so you have to use another source like a laptop to do this. Had I know that this was the case I'd never have bought if to begin with. The research I did somehow never mentioned the fact that the linux system this set uses could not be updated, so you are stuck having to either not use certain available services or use a laptop or other device hooked up thru a long HDMI cable to make this happen, more trouble, cables, cluter and money. The remote is also another just OK item, and it would have been nice if the buttons would have been backlit. Bottom line, if I had the chance to give it back and buy something else I would, that being said at least the picture is nice and clear and the 3D, even though we hardly ever use it, is also very good. If you want something with a good sound and internet system, you'd better keep looking, this is not for you.....just my opinion after 30 months of use.

I bought this TV and it has several very nice features. I also like the way it will update itself over the internet. It has great color and I use an external receiver for the sound which makes my den like a theater.

I'm loving this tv. It has a great picture and is a massive improvement over my old Samsung DLP tv. If I had one complaint it would be that the smart tv features don't really perform as well as I had expected. The browser is very slow (I have a wi-fi broadband connection and some of the apps (hulu, amazon, etc) can have problems with having to buffer too much. Maybe software upgrades will eventually help.

Great quality, lots of included apps like Netflix, so we don't have to go to any other equipement to get our movies. Took some time to set up, but followed the steps and now can go back with ease to adjust. Was able to include the TV, BluRay and Sound Bar on our magic remote...could probably do more but that's all we have right now. Only difficulty is getting the pointer on the magic remote to stay on longer without having to shake it...maybe this can be changed.

This model is the perfect example of mixed feelings. I don't think you can find better picture quality than this. The colors are vivid, bright, and incredibly real. The size is perfect, the 3D is great! But the SMART side of this TV is not worthy AT ALL: -Streaming videos from the internet browser it unusable - always pausing; -the voice command it's unusable: takes 10 seconds to load the application itself, and when you are ready to speak it will only recognize about 10% of times. Then doesn't search in all the contents of the TV, but only searches within the internet browser; -it's very slow, very unresponsive; -when you turn an external device on, the TV doesn't change the input to it. Waits for you to grab the remote and change the input. My 15 years old TV was smarter than this one, automatically changing input the the latest on; -doesn't adjust advertisements volume on TV emission, generally louder that regular programming. Again, my 15 years old TV was able to do this. NOT SMART. -Doesn't compensate enough the Audio-Video lag. The options available on the TV are not enough to correct this problem even from applications that came with the TV, like movie streaming providers applications. And I can assure you the this audio-video lag is added by the TV, because I'm using the same DVD and Blu-ray players I used with my old TV, and there I didn't have any lag for the same movies, so the AV lag is added by this expensive TV. -Doesn't have auto screen saver to automatically turn of the screen after some minutes of picture pause. I'm really considering buying a SMART box to use with this TV, mainly because I want voice search that works; responsiveness and audio-video lag correction. CONCLUSION Do I recommend this TV? The answer is: find a similar model in LG without SMART capability and exact same picture quality (which is great), and then add a modern, fast and really SMART box for video streaming. You will save same money and be better served. This 55LA7400 is not SMART and not Internet ready.

The LG 55LA7400 is an awesome set. 3D Blu-ray Discs look absolutely stunning and the 3d depth is amazing. My wife and I chose this particular set on the specs and overall picture quality, but also because it was one of the ability to convert regular shows and video games from 2d to 3d, a feature that was only available on a limited number of TVs. After watching some of the Stanley Cup playoff games in 3D, I'm hooked! This is definitely one of the most complete passive 3D Smart TVs on the market, and a great value for the price. Thanks, LG!!!

I had been looking for a new television for an upgrade. After looking at different brands I fell in love with the la7400. I was blown away with the amazing picture quality and how bright all the colors were on the screen. The 3d feature is absolutely amazing and I was blown away by how clear and life like the 3d picture quality is. The magic remote is the coolest remote I have ever owned. It's easy to use and it's sleek design allows it to fit into anyone's hand. I am really happy with my tv and pleased with its performance. Thank you LG.

You will not regret this purchase. Everybody just can't get over the picture ! LG has yet again put out a incredible product ! I researched for a long time before I bought. This TV does so much and is very user friendly and not hard to use at all. You can shoot a youtube video from your PC right to the TV or use Smart Share and shoot your PC to the TV among many many things this TV can do. Ton of APPS all ready built in,Netflix, Hulu, etc. Also has a web browser. Just does too much to list. Very Happy Happy Happy

Our first LG product we purchased was a television back in 2009. we simply loved that television I forgot the model number but it was a great tv. We purchased the 55LA7400-UD as a christmas gift to ourselves and, I must say the features along with the sleek design, picture quality, smart and 3D capability but, to me the coolest part is the smart remote. LG has indeed stepped into the realm of big name electronics manufacturers and I thank them for a great product we are definitely satisfied with our purchase. Thank you LG my TV Rocks!

I can't say enough good things about this TV. We own 2 other "Smart" flat panel TV's but neither can hold a candle to this LG 55LA7400. It has a beautiful picture, the styling is great, very thin & we love the no frame look! The magic remote has very few buttons & is very easy to use which was a pleasant surprise. All of the built in apps we have found very useful and the grand kids love the 3D. Right out of the box it was looking for the wireless internet and the rest was so easy. The TV took me through the set up process so it was ready to use in less than 1/2 hour. Great Job LG!

Screen Quality is good. It is very realistic. The design of product is sleek and looks great when you hang it on the wall. However, smart feature is very poor. The web browser is not fully fuctional. It is very slow and so many errors appear in many sites. Many live streaming video is not supported. I have to connect other device to the TV to watch something through web browser. My friend's different brand smart TV works much fast and web browser is fully fuctional in every site. The apps are useless, even youtube is very slow so never want to use it. Since smart function does not work well, I shouldn't have spent extra mony to buy this smart TV
