I use this backpack for day trips. It has plenty of space to carry the lens you might need for a specific photo shoot. I also purchased this bag because I could use it to carry a tripod. I have not used it yet with a tripod attached.

Lightweight bag, holds a lot, and distributes the weight so well, it feels like I'm carrying much less.

Need to upgrade from my 10+ year old Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 backpack. This fit the bill and much more. Multiple configurations to suit my ever changing needs on-and-off the field. It has a large storage capacity. Fits my 400 2.8L II 'non-IS' lens with ease (body not attached), as well as configuring it as a strobist backpack (see attached images). Good padding on the shoulder strap and on the back. I love the holes throughout the straps to give better ventilation on a long days' use. The hydration system and tripod support are a great addition to my previous backpack. And lots of pockets to store many accessories (photography related or not). Overall a wonderful upgrade to my previous backpack. Lowepro has done a great job with the design, support, and comfort with the Flipside Sport 20L AW. I will recommend backpack this to fellow photographers who need a large storage capacity with variable configurations, while having comfortable support when transporting gear from place-to-place!!!

Heading to Iceland for an 8 day photo trip and needed a larger bag to carry everything on the airplane and on the photo tour. This bag fits the need with room for two camera bodies and five lenses for the trip. I was worried about the number of dividers as a few comments I had read said not enough were included. However plenty were included and arrangement for my needs was easy. Straps on easy, has a number of pockets on the front and even holds my larger tripod if I hang one of the legs out.

This bag seems perfect so far- holds a lot of gear and seems to be well thought out and well made. Very pleased with how the bag feels- very balanced on my back while hiking. I plan to update this review at the end of the year- this bag will see a lot of time outdoors in 2014!
