Works great in cooler environments. Full flash during a warm wedding party and I burned this and the flash cover. I switched to plain gels without the plastic cover. It allows more heat out. Not recommended for pro flashes. METZ 64.

I bought this holder to accompany gels for a workshop. I never used them. This holder seemed better suited for my SB 700 than 900. The velcro interferes a bit with the factory diffuser and hard gels. Seems functional.

Dependable LumiQuest product. There were cheaper ones out there but since I already had LumiQuest softbox for flash, it only made sense to get same brand so the velcros can be used for either product. Very easy to use.

This is a small, very portable flash gel holder. It contains a clear pocket into which a colored gel can be fit and which easily fits over the flash head of most portable flashes. It comes with Velcro strips, which can be placed on your flash head (of course, there are only two strips so that this item cannot be used on more than one flash head. More conveniently, you can purchase an elastic strap with Velcro, also sold by LumiQuest, which can be put around the flash head and to which the gel holder will attach. Simply buy one strap for each of your flashes. The holder has a small pocket into which you may be able to squeeze one or two filters. It is essentially useless.

Great for adding a bit of color to any photo! Great addition to any camera bag!!

This is probably the best example of a cash waste I've seen in some time. If you're retentive about not using tape and only have one speedlight to work with, go ahead and buy one. If you use multiple lights, spend the cash on a roll of gaff tape and be happy.

I bought this with the Strobist gel set. They work well together. Inserting the gels takes some practice and patience but this holds the gels very well - better than struggling to strap them on the flash with a rubber band.

The gel holder is well constructed and works fine. It's a little hard to slide the gel into the holder but not terrible. It works fine, but I just use a couple pieces of the blue low tack masking tape from the home improvement store. I keep a roll in the camera bag, it comes in handy for a lot of things. If you want a holder instead of tape this holder is good.

It didn't fit very well on my 580. The holder was simply too small.

Great idea, but poor execution. It is bulky with my canon 580 ex ii, but it works. This might work better on smaller flash units. It takes some creative positioning to make a nice mount on your flash head, but other wise it does the job.

Easily changes background colors when shooting against a black backdrop. It is a little tricky to changeout filters.
