I have only been able to put it thru a few of its paces such as TTL auto and a few manual settings and it is what Metz has always been...Perfect!

Been a solid leader in the flash world for ages and beats the OEM speedlites by a good margin while being cheaper Easy choice

My new flash works well and has a multitude of great features. Wish it was a bit more intuitive. I have to refer to the directions too often.

I bought the Metz 64 AF-1 and 58 AF-2 to replace my worn out Nikon SB 800s. I love these speedlights. I am a portrait and event photographer, and use these along with Flashpoint R2 transmitters and receivers for location portraits.

I've owned this flash for about 2 years now and have used it in some pretty chaotic situations. It has never skipped a beat. I wish the flash's recycle time was faster, but quality of light and exposure accuracy is phenom. The recycle time drops it one star - but the recycle speed is as described in product specs.

I found the user interface very easy to navigate and find the features I need to access. I am using it with a Nikon D750 and it works perfectly well.

Little adjustment needed when shooting in variable light areas and a very quick recycle.

I have only been able to put it thru a few of its paces such as TTL auto and a few manual settings and it is what Metz has always been...Perfect!
The Metz Mecablitz 64 AF-1 Digital Flash is a powerful unit with a guide number of 210' at ISO 100 and 200mm that works with Canon E-TTL / E-TTL II. This model is equipped with a metal shoe for durability. The unit features an automatic zoom with a range between 24-200mm and comes with a built-in wide-angle diffuser that extends its reach to 12mm. The 64 AF-1 also has a secondary light reflector with two output levels for achieving even lighting as well as wireless functionality as either a master or slave unit.
The flash head can tilt from -9 to +90deg. and rotated 300deg. for use in a variety of situations and features a modeling light for previewing the look of shadows before taking a shot. There is also a color LCD touchscreen on the rear of the flash that allows you to quickly see and change settings. Multiple flash modes are available, included strobe and server with a learning function. High-speed, first and second curtain synchronization is possible and the device has sync, power and USB ports built-in.
