I would give it a 5 star but due to it having a random firmware error i had to go through this major recovery to get it back. Its not bad though considering it ran for 4-5 years without any issues until recently here in 2025, but after recovering it, i'd say its still pretty solid!

Router is excellent. We get internet signal about 100 feet away from the unit. We do video streaming without lagging. I recommend it a 100%.

I have only had this router for 2-3 weeks but so far it is performing well. It is very fast. I particulary like the Readyshare feature as it allows my 2 portable hard drives (2GB and 4 GB) to be seen by all my computers, giving me Network Attached Storage as a bonus. I am well pleased with this purchase.

Title says it all. Great wifi router. The app is hard to setup and has no parental controls to monitor and limit child use.

I've been playing with this router for 4 hours per day for 6 days. The setup time was average, they push you to the mobile app, but I had much better luck when I connected through the LAN port. Once I did that, setup was a snap. My star deduction is related to the DUMA OS monitoring app both by phone app and online. Anything connected through the mesh extender shows as offline, same for anything thing connected through a guest access. I know they are online because the first 2 days was spent figuring out what connection belonged to which device. I have 25 of them. Had to go through every IP and/or mac address. I now have 3 connections showing online, connected directly to the router, everything else shows offline. Not cool, since I have 1 computer and 6 security cameras connected and operational at this minute that I can see for sure are fully online. Further, since everything shows offline, when I block the connections with the app, they register as blocked, but in reality they stay fully connected. This is a large flaw, and now that I think about it, I am taking off another star, because connections control is the main function of this gaming router. Yes the firmware is fully updated. Other than the connection monitoring and control, the router is superb. The extender is seamless, and fast, and the range of the router with one extender is fantastic. I have cameras at least 300ft from the router and they are connected with still 2 bars of signal, the signal flows through my 2800sqft 2 story concrete home with ease. Everything in the home has at least 87% signal strength. Overall for range, reliability, and setup the router is great, for connection control and monitoring it comes up very sub par.

My XR 500 is hard wired to 4 Netgear 610 access points. The set up provides less range than my old Apple AirPort Extreme with 3 access points and my I phone either wont switch to wifi calling when I have a poor cell signal or drops my wifi calls.

I have had some issues setting up and also coverage area. Had a Comcast setup and wanted better options to be able to extend the coverage just haven't been happy yet with the outcome. But it's to much work to try to switch back.

I've used the router for more than a year now. I didn't register it or take advantage of everything it offers until recently. It has worked great. Excellent coverage and fast speeds. I've never had any issues with it. Now that I finally I am using the software/app for it, it also provides a lot of great options for controlling all your wifi needs.
