Read the reviews and then decide.
The focus adjustment takes a little time getting accustomed to as it's location is in the front. That being said, the quality of the glass is excellent. The construction is solid and feels good in the hand. After reading all the rave reviews and meeting my requirement for being waterproof I made my purchase and was not disappointed. If there is one flaw it is the poorly designed lens covers. The covers are for the objective lenses only and fit like socks on a rooster. Very loose fit and surely to be easily lost. Don't let that stop you from purchasing these excellent Nikon binoculars.

Great optics, lightweight
I have two other larger Nikons (8x42) and wanted something lighter. Also wanted to try 10x but was worried about shaking. These are great. The 10x is much better for birding and the shaking is minimal with the extra 2x. Minor complaint is that they do not come with objective lens covers (Nikon confirmed this) and the eyepiece covers are very loose, but this sems to be a common complaint with all Nikons. However the quality and image clarity for the price more than makes up for it.

Nikon 10x25 Premier LX
Bought these for my wife to replace some lower line Nikons. We use our glasses every weekend for wildlife & bird watching. She likes them very much.
Pros: Very high quality glass for the price. Exceptional clarity. On par with my Swarovski SLC's. Brighter than my Swarovskis.
Cons: Detents in the diopter adj knob would be nice. More friction in the width adjustment would also be good. The lens is too close to the end of the tube on the objective end & frequently gets bumped & smudged.
