Nikon z85mm f1.8s lens

Second sharpest lens I've ever used, surpassed only by the z50mm f1.8s lens. Great for portraiture and landscape. Beautiful bokeh, no noticeable aberration or falloff. A pleasure to use on the z9.

Another Great Z Lens

Headshots are a large part of my business and since transitioning into the Z system I was excited to get the 85mm 1.8 S lens and it did not disappoint. I have never experienced a lens so ridiculously sharp at the widest aperture. That kind of sharpness against the beautiful smooth bokeh is magic. For a lens that performs this well and is compact, light weight and reasonably priced makes it a must have.

Great lens! Sharp and excellent images!

Great Lens! Moving from DSLR to a mix of Mirrorless/DSLR and bought this to replace my Nikon 85 1.8D. The 1.8D had been perhaps my sharpest lens on my D800, but this lens on my Z's is an improvement in all areas. Sharpness is outstanding edge to edge and distortion and vignetting are minimal or non existent. I us these 85's for portraits and for photographing art work. Portraits with the Z 85 f/1.8 S are almost too sharp;) For art work it is fantastic!

The best lens I've ever used and/or purchased. Tack sharp, auto focus is super snappy on my Z6II. A great case for buying all Nikon z-mount glass until further notice.

A Must Have for Portraiture

This is a solid lens for portraits for a reasonable price, considering it falls into Nikon's S line of lenses. The bokeh is outstanding, and the focus is razor sharp if used properly. Eventually I may upgrade to the 85mm f1.2, since I bought this right before it was announced. But in the meantime, I'm more than happy to use this one on shoots.

My favorite lens for single person portraits.

This is my new baby. It is by far my favorite lens if I am photographing a singular person. The bokeh is phenomenal with that wide aperture. The lens itself is small enough and light enough to take on those fast photoshoots when you're running around downtown and have to move out of the street quick. I love it! Another great tool to keep in your camera bag!

A fast lens with all of the Nikon quality of image I have come to expect.

I love the 85 mm focal length and with the Z lens I don't have to fuss with the FTZ adapter to get the shots that I want. Adorama always makes the shopping easy. Too easy sometimes :-)
