I was pleasantly impressed with this. I have a strap from Peak Design I had used for the last couple years, which was well built with strong lasting materials and look nice, but it slips off my shoulder way too easy. This leather strap seems a good deal better without the need for a non-slip coating added. It may not be the lightest strap, but it does not feel too heavy. I am nervous about the connection to the thin straps off the wider padded part of this. With the hole of the last rivet I could see the leather break off at this weakened point with the weight of my large Nikon D850 and a zoom lens. Time will tell. It is still new.
